The elevator at work is broken. Why do we work on the 5th floor? I should start using the stairs on a regular basis though. Maybe this is a sign I should pick up on. When I left to go home it was repaired though and knowing myself I will not take the stairs on Monday.
My colleague picked up a Sesame Street for me for lunch today. A nice ending of a busy week. On my way home I bought a nice steak that I made for dinner – it turned out pretty good. Cut it up into portions and serviced it with potatoes. Now some corner time infront of the TV with a glass of white. Weekend – here we come.
Lunchdate with son
Thursday already. My oldest was done in school around lunchtime so we met up for lunch. We had a good chat and a nice meal at TGI.
A friend of mine posted these wise words today – I thought they were spot on.
Now we are going to try to solve our puzzle (not much left) and enjoy some quiet time watching “Aniara” – a Swedish movie that won four awards at the Guldbaggegalan.
Focus
Midweek and I set my mind to completing a huge set of invoices today which demanded a lot of focus and attention. And I managed to complete them! Yeah. Felt good.
My youngest had an appointment to get another treatment today – fingers crossed it will start working soon. So far no such luck. Might need to change strategy. Doctors evaluation in 2 weeks – will hopefully know more by then.
I’ve tried to relax this afternoon and focus on nothing. Almost completed the puzzle – we have a deadline Friday since we are having guests on Saturday. I think we will make it.
Dinner out
A long dark rainy Tuesday. Very busy at work. But a nice treat to end the day when I met up with a friend for dinner. We went to Jamie Oliver’s place by Stureplan and I had a fish dish which was really tasty and spicy. Served with a glas of non-alcoholic beer (it is a workday tomorrow after all) and a nice cappuccino to complete the dinner. Lovely. It was great to sit down and enjoy great food and company and we had a good catch-up and chat. Nice.
Going home in the evening is never fun though. The trains and buses never match each other so it’s a long wait here and there. But, now I’m home tucked in my corner with a cup of tea.
Me-time
I didn’t sleep so good last night – again. Need to address this soon. I am so very tired all the time. Maybe I should get a check-up.
I had booked a treatment after work – an aroma anti-stress massage – to see if it can remove some tension. I hope it did some good.
I received a booster-wheel playing Candy Crush – over the years I have only received one once before. Fun. Maybe I should have bought a lottery ticket today too! Lol.
Long walk
I had a hard time sleeping last night and woke up early. My husband did too. So we got up and had an early breakfast and watched the new episode of “Box 21”.
After lunch we took an hour walk in the sunny weather – need to try to be outdoor more and gather some sun when it is possible. We walked over to the Delicato outlet and rewarded our walk with a coffee / tea and a Mazarin when we got back. Yum.
Semi
Finally the day arrived. I would have hoped Sweden would be one of the 4 teams playing tonight, but no such luck. It was so fun to be part of a filled Tele2 Arena with 16500 excited fans cheering on the two semi finals in the European Championship in handball.
The first game was between Norway and Croatia and they had a huge fan crowd which made the arena very loud and emotional. And what a game – even score all the way thru the game and it took not 1 but 2 sets of overtime of 2×5 min before Croatia finally drew the longest straw and won before it came to penalty shots. Puh.
The next game was between Spain and Slovenia and Spain was in a quite comfortable lead basically thru the whole game until the very last minutes when it looked like Slovenia might win after an amazing catch-up but ended up loosing. So Croatia vs. Spain on Sunday in the finale. Norway vs. Slovenia tomorrow playing for bronze.
Broccoli
It was really cold this morning but no snow. -5C. Strange winter we have.
A long very busy day – I went to get some sallad for lunch – that kind you put together yourself. It turned out pretty good. I was rather late though so the best ingredients were already gone.
I am so very tired tonight so I’m going to bed early. Tomorrow night I have tickets to the semifinals in handball. I hope it will be a fun evening!
Midweek
Midweek and my WordPress is still giving me a hard time since it won’t function properly. I’ve asked their helpdesk for advice and we’ve been trying a few things the last couple of days and it works off and on. Hopefully it will be fixed any time soon.
Crashed with an omelette when I got home – a late lunch at 2.30. Last game on tonight – facing Iceland this time. Let’s hope we will win this one – like we won towards Hungary last night. That was fun!
+8C
What a strange winter we have – it is as warm as a cold summer day outside. The day has gone by in an extreme tempo and after a bowl of soup for dinner and some time in the spa I have now crashed in my corner cheering on our team in handball. I don’t think I will manage to stay awake thru the whole game but so far so good. One more game in the tournament for Sweden after this one, but we have burned our chances to reach the semi finals.
