Finally the day arrived. I would have hoped Sweden would be one of the 4 teams playing tonight, but no such luck. It was so fun to be part of a filled Tele2 Arena with 16500 excited fans cheering on the two semi finals in the European Championship in handball.
The first game was between Norway and Croatia and they had a huge fan crowd which made the arena very loud and emotional. And what a game – even score all the way thru the game and it took not 1 but 2 sets of overtime of 2×5 min before Croatia finally drew the longest straw and won before it came to penalty shots. Puh.
The next game was between Spain and Slovenia and Spain was in a quite comfortable lead basically thru the whole game until the very last minutes when it looked like Slovenia might win after an amazing catch-up but ended up loosing. So Croatia vs. Spain on Sunday in the finale. Norway vs. Slovenia tomorrow playing for bronze.
