Finally the day has come that I’ve been waiting for since spring. I’m away on a three day training for law firm assistants – a chance to learn something and also to meet other women in my profession. So interesting and time well spent to share experience and see how other law firms have chosen to handle office related questions. It is a specialized course for law firm assistants introducing us to the science of law. The Swedish Bar Association have another training such as this one which I would like to attend too – this is part 2 but I want to participate in part 1 too if I can. Maybe next year.
This is my room for the next couple of nights. I’m not complaining!
Important game
It’s been a rainy grey day so I’ve been cuddled up in my corner for the most part of the day. Our soccer team played an important game this afternoon and we won which means we advanced up to the first position. A very important win! Not many games left of the series. Fingers crossed!
I’ve packed my bag for tomorrow – I’m going away for three days to a training for legal assistants. I’m a bit nervous but excited and so happy to be given this opportunity to learn more about law and also meet other assistants from other firms. Wish me luck!
Weekend
Saturday. My husband cut all the fallen leaves with our lawn mover while I cleaned the house and all four beds.
We were invited to my parents-in-law for lunch and it was lovely to see them. She had made a delicious salmon/spinach pie for us and beef with oven baked potatoes for the boys. We had a very nice visit.
My husband and brother-in-law participated in the Apocalypse Run tonight – an 8,5k run where they were chased by zombies. They managed to escape being caught and completed the run.
I spent the evening with my sister and with our dear friend M and made some plans for our upcoming trip to London in November. We had a lovely time together eating M’s great food, a glass of wine (or two) and chatting.
Orange and red
Friday already. This week went by really quick. All the leaves are really sparkling right now. These bushes grow along the way to the busstop and they are just amazing right now.
This weekend doesn’t come a day too soon. I feel exhausted. A good week in many ways but with some oops and panic too.
Some take-away-thai for dinner and now I’ve crashed with a Grolsch in my corner. My husband had brought some truffles back from his trip – delicious little chocolates to enjoy. Perfect Friday treat!
Going home
It is getting really dark now going home from work when I work my long days. No rain tonight so after dinner we sat in the spa for a bit. My neck and shoulders are not doing so well right now so the spa is perfect.
We have agreed with the contractors now and they will start in a couple of weeks. Wow. Finally. We have longed for this day. And now it is approaching quickly. 4-5 tough weeks with builders, dust, one bathroom instead of two. But it will be completed in time for the holidays. Perfect.
Choices
Midweek and a very challenging day in many ways. Still quite warm outside but rainy and not very nice.
When I got home (a bit late) I crashed in my corner for a bit before I went to pick up my husband to go and make some choices for our bathroom renovation. It was a good visit to the tiling store and we found something we both liked. Now we have to summarize what we need and provide our contractor with a list. Exciting!
Pyssel hos N – 15 okt 2019
Rainy week
A rainy start of the week and the prognosis says it might stay this way for a while. So good shoes and a rain coat on and I’m ready to face the world. Seem to have lost my scarf though. Can’t find it.
My parents stopped by for a coffee and a chat this afternoon. Always nice to see them.
Family gathered for dinner again for the first time in a couple of days. Nice. Tonight we have enjoyed our spa for a bit since the rain stopped and now we crashed in front of the tv with a cup of tea.
Visitors
I couldn’t sleep this morning. It was impossible. So after an hour or so I gave up and got up instead. Our backyard was crowded with visitors – a family of three – and they stayed for hours.
I decided to clean our freezer which is so full of ice it is almost getting hard to close. Well over-due chore and three hours later it was done. Took forever to get rid of all the ice. But now it is clean and I felt good about getting it done.
My oldest came along to get some groceries and pick up some take away lunch. We also took a quick look in the tile-store next to the grocery store but we didn’t find anything special. Now he is off to see his friends and me and my youngest are alone at home. And tonight my husband arrives back from his trip.
Decisions
A whole Saturday with no plans. Managed to sleep in until 8 (yeah me) and got up and enjoyed some tee and toast for breakfast while I did some laundry. Then I worked my way thru a pile of ironing before I got myself and the boys some lunch.
My oldest accompanied me to the tile company to look around and maybe get some ideas or impressions about what to choose for our bathroom we are thinking about re-decorating. So many choices. He gave me a lot to think about – great to hear his opinion.
Just started to watch a new Netflix-series “Unbelievable” that got high marks. The first episode wasn’t great but the second one is much better so I will give it a shot. Any of you seen it?
