Finally Thursday

Day 4. The progress in the bathroom is not major from yesterday (I’m sure they have done a lot but it doesn’t really show in a photo). Can’t believe we have almost gone thru the first week.

The city has started to put up the decorations in town. They are not turned on yet fortunately. Still some time left of the fall.

I met a whole bunch of monsters going home – trick or treating kids. We haven’t got any candy at home. I hope they won’t trick us..

Lunch date

Day 3 in our bathroom project. No tiles left on the walls and no floor. Slowly but surely they are working their way towards the goal. It is very cold in our bedroom right now since the bathroom has a no plasterboards to keep the cold outside. Brrr.

My youngest had a job interview today and it went well. They will contact him if they find a suitable job that fits his profile and knowledge. Fingers crossed. Afterwards he and I went to lunch together which was very nice. I’m so proud of my boys!

Stylish outdoor bathroom

Day 2. We now have an outdoor bathroom – very stylish yet secluded behind the hedge (would have covered more with leaves than like it is now though). Lol. The worst part is that the temperature is going below freezing point.

The building workers have taken down the rest of the tiles on the walls but also removed the floor today. They have opened up the wall in the shower – I guess they wanted to see the piping behind.

I worked late tonight and went out afterwards for dinner with an old friend and former colleague. It was nice to chat and catch up a bit.

Ball rolling

Day 1. Need a lot of patience and take many deep breaths before this is done. But, it will be great. The builders were on time and have done a good work today. They will be back tomorrow at 07.00 and every workday after that until they are finished.

If you want to come over our entrance is now via our laundry room. They have built some sort of airflow corridor so we can access our stairs to go upstairs. Going to be a challenge going to the bathroom.. But, we’ll manage!

Oh, and we’ve sold the mirror cabinet we put out yesterday. Yeah. Let’s hope the other things will find new homes too.

Preparations

Exciting morning! Cheered on my youngest niece watching the YouTube-streamed finale and they did great! Managed to come in 5th place. *So proud*

We put out our bathroom furniture on Blocket for sale – with some luck they will find a new home! We have had a lot of viewers of the ad and a few questions but no sale yet. Since we are trying to sell everything we made the effort to clean everything and take it down if someone would come over and want to bring it with them. So the workers tomorrow now have one less thing to worry about – lol.

Tomorrow the big remodeling starts and we then have 4-5 weeks of chaos to look forward to. But, I am looking forward to the change!

Today we have turned back the clocks and now we have wintertime again. I like the fact that it will be more sunlight in the morning but I don’t like the fact that everything will be an hour later – lunch, getting off work, dinner…

Important soccer game this afternoon .. Forza Bajen!

Dance & team gym competition

My youngest niece is away in Örebro this weekend competing in team gymnastics Riksfyran. Top 10 teams out of 24 will reach the finale tomorrow – and they came in 2nd place! Yeah! Fingers crossed they will be just as amazing tomorrow and land that medal!

My oldest niece was competing today too – but here in town – so I went there (Berwaldhallen) with her parents and both her grandma’s to cheer her on. Their competition was called StreetStar and we stayed and watched 12 + 26 numbers – and what great dancers! Her group Move was awesome but the competition was very tough. Don’t know yet in which place they finished.

Now I’ve crashed in my corner with a late dinner (creamed mushroom omelette) – tired after a long day. Going up early tomorrow to cheer on  my youngest niece competing in the finale – live streaming is perfect!

Weekend awaits

What a week. So many impressions and new knowledge. Exhausting. But I am also very pleased and happy about my week and for completing the course. Yeah for me.

Take away dinner and now we’ve crashed in our corners watching an episode of “Heder” – the new Swedish series on TV. Haven’t decided if I like it yet or not. The dialogue isn’t always great and I don’t like that. But part two seems better than part one so I’ll give it a go.

A candle for Hans

Back to work again and it was a very fun hectic day which passed fairly quickly. I think they had missed me..
My youngest was supposed to go to a job interview today but it was postponed until next week. My oldest had a long exam and when he was done we met up for lunch. He had answered all the questions but he wasn’t sure if he will pass or not. Fingers crossed.

Another dear friend to the track&field-family was buried today. My parents went to the funeral but I wasn’t able to attend this time. They said it was well attended and it had been a nice moment in the church and after.

Training completed

Three amazing days later I got my diploma. Filled with new knowledge, slight more all-round educated and happy after meeting fellow colleagues from other firms.

Now I’m back home again with my boys. My husband is out with his colleagues tonight – I hope he will make it home before I’m asleep.

Back to the real world again tomorrow. Wish me luck!

Day 2

Puh what a day! Packed with impressions and knowledge – interesting discussions and sharing of thoughts and experiences.

Completed day 2 out of 3 and I love every minute of it. This was just what I needed and I have met interesting people and learned so much.

I have also probably gained a pound or two due to very nice food and breaks filled with goodies. Oh well. One need some extra sugar to keep up the energy and to be able to focus on all the new information, I guess. One more day of fun to look forward to!
