We arrived to the American Virgin Isles sometime during the night and the port in St Thomas was outside the window. We had made reservations for a tour first thing in the morning and a taxi-bus picked us up to take us across the island via a viewpoint to overlook the Megans Bay where we then spent a few hours enjoying the sandy beach and the ocean. Unfortunately our youngest wasn’t able to come along this day, but he felt better when we returned a couple of hours later, which was great.
I am so glad we could go on this particular tour – I have always wanted to visit this island and now I have!
Another lovely day on the ocean. Perfect relaxation! New years eve somewhere in the Caribbean on our way to our first stop. The ship was a big party all evening with extra nice food in the restaurants and free bubbly counting down. They had placed hats and tiaras in the cabins for people to wear in the evening (if they wanted) and the ship was really nicely decorated. A huge bag of hundreds of balloons were released at midnight – no fire works since Norwegian is extremely careful about not polluting the ocean. Good!
