Leftovers

It was freezing this morning with -14C so I had to wear a lot of clothes going to work. The moon was absolutely gorgeous – a big blood moon on the way to become visible again. Didn’t manage to take a photo unfortunately.

Got home early and had leftovers for lunch – I made some pasta to go with the sauce from Saturday dinner. A new dish – voilà.

Been busy vacuuming, doing laundry and sweeping floors this afternoon. Made burgers for dinner served with potatoes and brown sauce. Mmm. Now I’m tucked in my corner cheering on Sweden in handball. Facing Norway tonight. If we win we will go thru to the semi finals. If not we have another chance on Wednesday when we are facing Denmark. Go Sweden!

Sunday

A very lazy day – haven’t done much besides cleaning up from yesterday. Also, I made a lasagna for dinner and it turned out great.

When we went grocery-shopping yesterday we bought some tulips and today they are spreading a wonderful scent around the living room. I love tulips.

Next week is going to be a challenge. A lot of things that need my attention. I hope I can focus and get it all done. One step at a time.

Abba

I gave my sister and nieces a girls-day to the ABBA-museum for Xmas. We invited mom to come along and we had a great day! My sister picked us up and we parked close by to the museum and we then spent a couple of hours there to walk through ABBA’s career. It is an interactive museum so we could record songs, make music videos, mix music etc..

It was a fun afternoon and I’m glad we went! After a look in the giftshop, mom treated us a coffee in the café.

Afterwards we went to ours and the men in our family joined us. My oldest niece had other plans so the 9 of us had dinner together while we watched the handball game (Sweden vs. Tunisa) – we are in round two now. We won!

After dinner we played board games, enjoyed the spa, played more board games and had a lovely time together.

Puh

The busiest day in a while. At the end of the day I was just so tired I couldn’t focus any more. I had to take a break and get out of there for a while so I went for a coffee and after an hour I called the office to see if they needed me back or if I was good to go home. They said I could go home. So I did.

It was great to have a fancy coffee and sit down for a bit. Breathe. Focus.

My husband was really delayed on his way home from work due to a fire in a commuter train (not his). So I ended up fixing dinner after all (had hoped for a take-away). Now we’ve crashed in our corners watching “Bird Box” with Sandra Bullock. Let the weekend begin!

Slippery

When the pavement looks like this when you step outside your house you’d better be very careful when walking to the bus stop… No high heels for sure. Regular shoes preferably with spikes or something underneath. And one tiny step at a time. I made it. Same procedure going back after work. I made it back too. Yeah. Social media is filled with people breaking arms and legs right now – I pray to God my family will be safe this winter.

Another very busy day but we got a lot done. One more day – then a fun weekend ahead! Sat in the spa for a bit – it was just what we needed – and now I have some good handball to enjoy tonight. Go Sweden!

-11C ?

Winter arrived again. It was freezing this morning –  -11C (12F) – so extra everything on before I went to work. Fortunately both going into town and going home was ok today – didn’t have to wait for any stupid buses or subways in the cold.

An afternoon to myself. Doing some laundry (never ending story) and sorting stuff out. Need to think. New challenges ahead at work. Have to embrace them and make them great.

“Don’t ever stop trying to make me see myself the way you see me.” Good advice. From my favorite tv-show – “This is us”.

Late

Working late tonight and missed my bus. Had to wait for almost 25 min and I really didn’t feel like walking.. Fortunately the small fast food place was open so I grabbed a burger while I waited.

Got home eventually and everybody was busy with their own so I went to bed early. I have tried to read a bit before I go to sleep every night lately – right now I’m reading “1793” and it’s quite ok. I have a few more books waiting for me too. I just have to get into the “reading”-mood again and stay away from my mobile more.

Taco

People are talking about taco-Fridays and taco-Thursdays. But why not a taco-Monday? Decided to give it a go and it tasted great. Lol.

Busy week ahead with a lot going on at work. Need to stay focused and prepared. But I’m ready.

Went grocery shopping after work, did some laundry when I got home and also worked a bit on my photo album from our trip. I was hoping my year album would be waiting for me when I got home but it hadn’t arrived yet. Maybe tomorrow. Crashed in my corner tonight waiting for the next handball game to start. It’s the world championships which is held in Denmark and still in the group play. Tonight we are facing Angola. Go Sweden!

Sunday off

A bit tired today – got home late last night. Today we have been relaxing in front of the tv, ironing some of the ton of laundry that is waiting for my attention and tried to look at something fun to do this summer. We’ve been talking about a week abroad together with my sister w/ fam and our parents, but we’ll see what we decide.

My angel of a mother stopped by – she was out for a walk in the snowy weather. I should have taken a walk too today but I’ve been lazy. Don’t know what to cook for dinner either. And I have to decide soon.

Ghost

Saturday filled with fun! Slept in a bit and then after lunch I met up with my mother, sister and nieces to go in to the city and enjoy my mothers birthday present and the girls Xmas present – the musical Ghost. It is played on Chinateatern and it was great! The singers are amazing – we’ve seen them in other shows before.

After the show we all went to my sister’s for dinner. My dad picked up the boys and they came along too. My husband stayed home since he is still feeling poorly. I hope he feels better soon! The rest of us are ok – or at least nothing major just a slight cold.

Thank you for a great day, great dinner and great company! And now we have a concert to look forward to too – booked tickets for me and my sis to see Darin in the Globe in May (my birthday present for her).
