Hectic day

Someone had put a little Santa cap on the statue decorating our stairwell at work.

A very hectic day today. And the rest of the week will be the same. But, so far so good. Got a ton of invoices done and sent out today. Have another ton to go tomorrow.

Made burgers for dinner tonight. Slight lack of fantasy but were received well.

Now I’m going to go out to the spa for a bit. Going to be great!

Pyssel hos A – 18 dec 2018

Let it snow

When we woke up this morning it had been snowing and the garden was beautifully decorated with white fluff. Winter arrived. My oldest almost didn’t make it in time to his exams since his bus got stuck and couldn’t drive up a hill so all the passengers had to walk the last 1 km to the subway. But, he made it in time with 2 minutes to spare.. Fingers crossed he will pass the test!

A crazy morning at work with all sorts of challenges. Managed to get a lot done and only had to stay over for one hour. Picked up groceries on my way home and had dinner on the table for the boys right in time. My parents picked me up and we went to cheer on our team in handball. The team is struggling a bit this season but tonight they won! Yeah! Fun!

Sunday – funday!

Competition in team gymnastics today. Haven’t seen S compete in a while and of course I wanted to come along and cheer on her and her team. They did really well and managed to reach 4th place among 15 competing teams. Floor 13,250 Tumbling 11,750 Trampoline 11,100 = total 36,100. Great job!

Tonight we are going to my husbands aunt for dinner together with his cousins. A lovely ending of a great weekend. Filled with so many fun things – quality family time. So special. I feel very blessed!

Perfect Saturday

A wonderful Saturday. Starting in my corner with breakfast watching my favorite national team in the Channel One Cup. Had to leave after the first period though – when we were in the lead 2-0 towards Finland.
Went to get a full-body massage – just what I needed. I hate driving after a treatment so I took the bus there and afterwards my husband was kind and picked me up. While I was given the massage our pride and joy lost the game 2-3 – I should have stayed and cheered! Lol.

After lunch I picked up my mom and we went to enjoy my oldest niece and her group perform their yearly dance-show. They are really great dancers! This years show was good but lacked the wow-factor, but K did really well! *proud aunt*

Got back home to pick up my three guys and we went to Heron City to watch the new superhero movie “Acuaman” together. We then had dinner before we went back home. Great ending of a great day. And tomorrow is also packed with fun things. Lovely!

Fredagsmys time

Friday already. One week left to work before Xmas break is here. And then two weeks off from work. But so much to do before that can happen. Managed to get a head start on a few things today which was great. One less thing to do next week.

Strolled thru the city after work trying to find my husband a Xmas gift. No luck. He doesn’t know what he wants either so no help from him. Hm.

Pizza treat tonight. Didn’t have any energy to fix something. Now we have crashed for a bit. The boys have a lot of studying to do this weekend. A lot of finals next weeks to prepare for. I hope they will be able to focus and get thru them with passing grades.

Lucia – TBT

Throw-back-Thursday and Lucia on the same day must encourage a terribly old photo of a young me visiting my grandparents in their apartment in Årsta.

I love this picture for many reasons – the furniture, Xmas decorations and TV bring back memories from my childhood.

No young Lucia’s in our family for the moment. Maybe one day I will be the grandparent who will be surprised by grandkids in their Lucia-costumes. And if I won’t be a  grandparent – maybe I will be a great aunt for my nieces kids, if they have any. Can’t wait!

Midweek treat

Puh what a day! High tempo all day and fun things to do so the day went by really quickly. The weeks before Xmas tend to be very hectic.

Got home and rejected all left-overs in the fridge. Decided to make some pancakes instead and filled mine with creamed mushrooms. The boys prefer castor sugar on theirs. My husband is out tonight too – he has a lot of work activities with all his different constellations of work groups.

I am not complaining though – crashed in my corner with a nice cup of coffee in front of the TV cheering on Sweden facing Russia in the European Championships in handball. Go Sweden!

Fragrance

Just crashed in my corner with a bowl of Japanese soup. The boys had already had their dinner when I got home after my long Tuesday. Their dad is out tonight with a work-thing.

The living room smells wonderful with the Xmas tree and hyacints. Candles lit. And something nice to snack on (skumtomtar.. lol). Life is not so bad.

Nobel day

Today it is the Nobel day in Sweden. The police was closing down the area around the Concert Hall as I left work. No market on Haymarket today. Town getting ready for all the celebrities.

We were supposed to have an evening with our Pysselklubb tonight but we had to postpone it again due to illness again (we were supposed to see each other last week). As much as I would love to see the girls I am terrified of catching anything so I’m glad we play it safe. Too much at stake. I expose myself to enough germs just by traveling back and forward to work. I hate stressing about catching something. Need to stop.
