Busy busy

Another long day at the office and another quite busy day. Tomorrow I get off early – for which I am very grateful. By the end of the day I started to get a slight headache and I still have one. Some quiet time in my corner with a cup of tea might do the trick. With some help from an aspirin or two. And then an early night so I can get some extra rest.

Student dinner (and dance)

Time to get back to work again with a full week ahead. And a challenging start – double time at work today with a student dinner (and dance) after work. The day went by quite quickly and after work I met up with my sister and brother-in-law to attend their oldest daughters’ student dinner. It was great fun to be invited and attend this special evening and get to know her class and friends a bit more. We enjoyed a three-course-dinner and it was very well organized. After the dinner there was a dance and bar and the second round of guests were let in (the ones that didn’t want to spend a lot of money to attend the dinner). And with that note it was time for us parents who had to get up early and go to work to leave..

Thank you, K, for a great evening!

Last flight ?

Last morning with the four of us together under the same roof for a while. Time to pack and drive F to the airport one last time. Only 12 more weeks to go – then he has completed a full school year in another country. Yeah. I am so proud. He left with a smile and I have full confidence he will be happy and able to finish.

Washed the car on the way back from the airport and now we have just crashed for a bit completely exhausted. It’s been quite warm outside today and the last snow is melting away. More and more flowers are starting to bloom but no leaves on the trees yet.

Crocus

Saturday and no snowing all day. Yeah. After breakfast we went over to Kungens Kurva for some shopping and preparations for next weekend. We picked up some burgers for lunch to bring back home.

This afternoon my oldest went to see his friends while my youngest went to play laserdom with his cousins. My husband and brother-in-law came along too. I hope they have fun. I am enjoying some quiet time at home doing some laundry and watching a Netflix-series.

Today I found the first crocus in bloom in the back yard. Yeah! Spring might be on its way after all!

Last weekend coming up

Friday again and more snow in the morning. It melts away during the days (more or less) but WHY does it have to keep coming more?

Another doctors appointment at the hospital – almost time to get transferred to the adult department. Feels a bit strange to leave after all these years. But, everything has an end I guess (or most things anyway).

Me and my husband went to a birthday party tonight. Our youngest went out with his friends already in the afternoon for a movie and came back home shortly before we did. Good to go to bed with everyone back home!

Fog and rain

A very boring day weather-wise. It’s been very foggy and raining off and on all day. I managed to get through a task I’ve been working on for a while, which felt great. Finally completed!

I have very mixed feelings about the next couple of days – F is leaving to go back for his last 12 weeks and I have full confidence he will do great! But I will miss him, of course. And next weekend I am entering a new chapter of my live. Mixed feelings. Time for some after-thought and maybe make some decisions on how to proceed.

Work work work

Time to leave the comfort of my home and get back to work again. Long day and quite busy. Before I knew it – it was time to go back home again.

It has been raining off and on today and a bit foggy. But, tonight it cleared up and it was quite nice to sit in the spa for a bit. Now some corner-time to watch a couple of episodes of “Designated Survivor” – a series we follow with Kiefer Sutherland.

Day off

I pro-longed my Easter weekend with a day off so that I could run some errands and get some things ticked off on my list.

Spent the morning at home and made “plättar” for lunch, which I haven’t made in ages. After that me and F went over to Kungens Kurva to get him some new clothes (he is growing so fast) to bring with him back to Brussels. We also bought all the non-alcoholic drinks and snacks for my party and some groceries. When we got back home I took a walk over to my parents to tend to their house – it’s been a lovely day with sunshine and about +5C. Tomorrow it’s time to get back to work again – but only for two days. I’m off Friday again due to another doctors appointment.

Annandag påsk

Last day in our paradise and finally some sun. It was a gorgeous morning and the snow started to melt away. We enjoyed a nice breakfast and then we packed our things and closed our house. A bit sad (as always) but I am also very thankful to have spent another Easter with the family in our paradise. We have had a great weekend but now it was time to head back to the real world again. The rest of the family will stay for a bit longer.

The drive back went without any problems – very little traffic and dry roads. Only some traffic on the usual spots but we got home in a little over 6 hrs so that was great (took us 8 hrs down). Now after dinner we sat in our spa for a bit and we saw a shooting star – haven’t seen one in years! Must be a good sign and we made a wish! I hope it will come true!

Påskdagen

Easter Sunday and not a great weather-day. We had plenty of delicious left-overs for lunch and then a lazy afternoon relaxing. All food gone in the fridge so we had a choice between grocery shopping or eating out. We chose the later and booked a table at Sörens in Borgholm and the dinner was great! I had local lamb with potato gratin and a thyme sauce. Yum!

It started to snow again and the walk back to the car was anything but pleasant. Brrrr. On our way to the parking lot we walked pass the Easter rooster and this poor Easter witch that had got stuck in a tree. Haha.
