Tucked in my corner after a long day at the office. All the obstacles are still not solved but we’re getting there.

Today I managed to get on the right subway going home too – lol – saved me a lot of time and trouble. It is so completely annoying when you make a mistake like that. So un-necessary. So today I paid extra attention and managed to get it right!

Mmm.. still have some homemade cinnamon buns in the freezer.. might go and defrost a couple..

One thing after another.. why can’t life just be easy sometimes. A day full of surprises and quick fixes. Most of the things at least on the way back to normal again as I was leaving work. My head was not with me going home – got on the wrong subway and had to spend an extra 30 min before I finally got home. Puh. Some days are just not my days. Four more to go. Fingers crossed things will go my way from now on.

Today we celebrate Fathers Day in Sweden – always on the 2nd Sunday of November. It’s a theme day which is celebrated on different days all over the world. My American dad has his day on the 3rd Sunday of June.

So happy Fathers Day to my dad, father-in-law and American dad! Have a wonderful day!

Another rainy grey day – another perfect day to relax and regain energy. The three-course-dinner last night was great and I should get my lazy butt out of my corner and get some steps into my body. As little as I walked yesterday I have plenty to catch up on.

A rainy Saturday morning – a perfect day to relax and catch up on some recorded tv-series we haven’t had time to watch during the week. “Modus” is first on our list.

Tonight we are invited to dinner at my parents-in-law together with some other relatives. Great food and company to look forward to.

My husband surprised me with a bouquet of yellow/orange roses yesterday. Just because.

When I came to work Monday the streets around where I work started to get the X-mas decorations in place. Every day a couple of more streets have been finished. No lights are turned on yet, but all the ornaments are coming in place. Nice. Only a few more weeks – then advent is here and it is time to light the first candle. My favorite weekend all year. This year I haven’t even started to consider what to get everyone for X-mas. I was so focused we would be buying everyones gifts in NewYork and since we didn’t get to go  I have to re-think that plan.

Wednesday. My favorite day of the week.

Been a busy bee all afternoon. Someone is eating all the groceries in our house – needed to get some new ones today again. Lol.

My parents stopped by for a quick visit – I’m so glad we live close and can see each other every now and then. I have a lot of friends who are struggling with not having family close. It is a real privilege to have them around.

Long day at work – stayed in town for a late dinner before I went back home too. It was a nice way to end the day. I have an app in my mobile that looks up the time tables for all the choices in traveling and the app said going by commuter train and then bus was the quickest way for me to get home at that hour. Pretty handy those things.

The photo is showing Stuvsta Torg – nothing opened but the lights still on to not leave the square completely dark, I guess. The famous Loffes Grill (the building on the left) – opened back in 1963 and has been serving hotdogs and later on burgers etc ever since. It’s a family owned business and the second generation has taken over. People are traveling from near and far to buy their food.

First day back to work after the time home. Felt really good to be back – my colleagues kept me busy all day so time just flew away. Just the way I like it.

Laundry – done, grocery shopping – done. Now time to get some dinner on the table. Taco-night for the kids – still not sure what to make for us. Maybe leftovers. Or fish. Or something else from the freezer.

The first day of November. A very grey day, slightly windy, no sunshine but quite warm (10C). A perfect day to do nothing.

We all enjoyed the Bond-movie last night – it was better than the reviews given – and afterwards we went to dinner at a restaurant nearby the theatre. We ended the evening at ours enjoying the “Så mycket bättre” and some goodies. Lovely!

Tomorrow life goes back to normal again. Fall break is over and school and work awaits. The bouquet of flowers is still gorgeous – all the lilies have started to bloom – and there is still a couple of chocolates left in the box. Great with the evening coffee!
