What a great Sunday! The sun has been shining all day and it almost feels like summer outside. So we decided to do something special.
A new train bridge was opened today for public to walk on before they lay the railway tracks. There were almost 12.000 people who showed up and the company who has built the bridge had all sorts of activities to treat the crowds – free hotdogs and sodas, quiz promenade, lots of information about the construction etc. The walk was 2×1,5 km long and took us about an hour strolling with all the people. Quite a spectacular view too overlooking the area 12 m up.
When we got back home we enjoyed lunch outside and then we took a walk to a fall-market near and enjoyed a coffee and cake together with my sis and her hubby. It was really nice to spend some time with them – just the four of us.
Today my parents came back from paradise and delivered a couple of pumpkins. Great to see them again – hopefully we’ll have time soon to catch up some more!
Saturday morning
A quiet morning in my corner. It’s not raining outside but it’s not far off. I miss my hanging chair that I have in paradise. To cuddle up with a blanket and a pillow and just enjoy the view while the wind is slowly rocking me. We don’t have a place for a chair like this here in town – and there is no spectacular view to enjoy here either unfortunately.
So I guess I have to wait until next time in paradise, which will be a while. Easter is early next time – in March already – and even though we hopefully will spend it down there I doubt we will put the chair up since it might still be snow on the ground then.
Have a great Saturday everyone!
Left overs
Another week has come to an end .. left overs for dinner for me tonight, but I am definitely not complaining when they look like this. Yesterday I didn’t allow myself a glas of wine since it was a work night, but tonight I will have one with the “smörgåstårta”. The boys will have fillet of pork and fries.
A whole weekend ahead and no plans. Just relaxing, gathering strength and new energy for next week. I have a very busy week next week so I need all the energy I can get.
Pyssel hos K – 17 sep 2015
Pysseldags!
Midweek again. Had a very Swedish lunch today while I was waiting for my bus – a “tunnbrödsrulle”. It’s a flatbread filled with mashed potatoes and a hotdog. Some ketchup and lettuce to complete. Mm.
I’ve been a busy bee since I came home – quick hospital visit for blood tests, preparing dinner for both today and tomorrow (I’m having guests and work late), setting the table and getting ready. And now I am. Ready, that is.
Rain rain ..
Tuesday – my long day – and it has been raining for the most part. But, when I was going home it cleared up and so I walked the last couple of kilometers. Great way to end a day – a quick walk. Get the adrenaline going and clear my head. I’ve been translating stuff the last part of the day so I had a lot of tricky wordings on my mind.
Now dinner, Idol elimination and a latte.. Then it’s time to hug my pillow and get some beauty sleep.
Here we go
New week. New challenges to face. New decisions to make. My parents are on their way down to our paradise for a couple of days. Wish I could come too. That would be amazing. But, no time right now and I’m needed here.
Busy afternoon buying groceries getting stuff for the week. A home made lasagna just got done and will be a nice treat for dinner tonight. The best part is that there will probably be leftovers too. Yum.
Day 2
A whole day spent at our beautiful Olympic Stadium – it’s been a great day even though our girls and ladies fell on the famous finishing tape and lost to the Finnish ones.
Today my best friend and her youngest came along too which was great fun!
The final scores after the second day:
Ladies : Sweden 193,5 – 213,5 Finland
Men : Sweden 231 – 179 FinlandGirls : Sweden 94 – 104 Finland
Boys : Sweden 112 – 87 Finland
Day 1
The first day of two in the Finnkampen weekend has come to an end. I joined my parents for the main even – skipped the youth competitions before lunch today but I will watch them tomorrow.
It was a good afternoon – not too cold and the rain stayed away almost all the way to the end. And the Hammarby-athletes really had a good day too!
The scores after the first day:
Ladies : Sweden 97 – 107 Finland
Men : Sweden 132 – 73 FinlandGirls : Sweden 54 – 50 Finland
Boys : Sweden 57 – 47 FinlandSo a good start for us – let’s hope Day 2 will be equally successful!
11 pieces
Finally Friday. This has been a very strange week with me being so tired and not able to focus very well. I think reality is catching up with me and I need to relax and stop for a minute.
Enjoyed a great sushi lunch and a great bbq dinner. Now a glass of red and some cheese to finish the evening. We have good weekend ahead with Finnkampen going on both days at the Olympic Stadium in Stockholm. It’ll be fun! I think we have a good chance in all four categories.
