Aquarium

Early start today with a visit to the hospital with my youngest son who had an appointment. Everything went well. They had a big aquarium in the waiting room – I miss our aquarium sometimes. But we will not get a new one, I don’t think.

Managed to get to work only one hour late and also could go home in time so I used one of my many over-time hours for the visit. Perfect.

Tonight my hubby is participating in another run – a relay with his colleagues. So, it’s just me and my boys home and we’ve just had dinner together. Lovely.

Chaos

Puh, what a day. Filled with fun things at work and managed to accomplish a lot. There had been an accident in the subway when I was going home so I took the commuter train instead.

Really tired tonight so I’ve crashed in my corner and I will not go anywhere. In our garden these two little fellows have appeared – it will be interesting to see if they will survive some rain or if they will collapse. It was fun to make them – maybe we will make some more next summer.

Long lasting gift

Last year I received two rose bushes for my birthday and they are just beautiful this summer! Filled with small pink roses. Love them! They seem to like the spot I picked for them – underneath the elder trees.

A day filled with challenges – I was exhausted when I got home. And it was a short day. I have a quite busy week ahead too so one day at a time. Tonight is has been raining a lot again but it was quite sunny as I went home from work.

Happy anniversary to my sister and brother-in-law! 19 years of marriage. Congratulations! May you have many happy years to come!

20 times

Midnattsloppet 2019 – my husband participated for the 20th time and received an extra medal in honor of this. Yeah! And he did good – managed to stay below 50 min which was his goal since he feels out of practice with not so many running miles this year. He has been training a lot this summer – but not with running as much as he would have liked to.

A lazy day at home – we ended the sofa day with some time in the spa but went in after a while because it started to rain quite a lot. M is out with his friends again. Fun to see him out and about. His semester will start on the 27th so he still has some time left to enjoy his summer holiday before the studying begins. F is looking for work – fingers crossed he will find something soon!

Apples

Saturday and a day spent working in the garden and also indoor cleaning. My husband has cut some of the apple tree but still has a long way to go. A hard tedious work that never seem to end. I cleared away some weed and tidied up a bit.

Our oldest is in town tonight having dinner with his friends. My husband will be picked up by my brother-in-law in a bit going into town to participate in Midnattsloppet – a 10K run. It will be his 20th time and he will receive a special medal. Impressive! I hope they will come back with smiles on their faces happy with their performance and not injured. I will be a sleep by then though so I will find out tomorrow.

Rowan

Someone said that if there is a lot of rowan berries there will be a lot of snow too that year. Oh dear. I don’t really mind the snow – I just mind the complete chaos that usually comes with it regarding traffic and commute to work.

Friday .. a whole week completed. Feels pretty ok actually. And today my oldest arrived back home from our paradise together with my sister and his cousin.

Family is back together. Let the fall begin.

Word of wisdom

“If you are allergic to something, it is a bad idea to stick it in your mouth.. especially if it is a cat!”

I watched an old video from when my boys were little and our cat was in it too. Aaahh. I miss her. She was my companion for 22 years and if course she made an impact.

Already Thursday. Tomorrow my oldest will return from our paradise together with my sister and youngest niece. Their turn to return to the real world again. My parents arrived back yesterday together with my oldest niece and her friend. I’m so glad we installed the camera down there last year so we can take a peak every now and then. Fun to see the changing of seasons and what the weather is like.

Midweek

A very busy midweek day with a lot of visitors at work. Sat down on my way home for a minute and enjoyed a plate of sushi. Mmm.

Disaster when I got home – the glass-pitcher to my coffee machine cracked.. Oh no. No other choice but to run to the store and try to find a replacement – unfortunately this machine is so very old they don’t make any replacement parts for it anymore so we ended up buying a whole new machine. And it made excellent coffee. So I’m happy.

Roses

A long day and quite productive. Managed to complete several things on my list which was good.

This morning when I left for work I took this photo of one of the roses outside our house. The four rose bushes we planted last year have really grown and bloom so much. And the scent is amazing!

Was thinking about going to Skansen after work to attend the last program for the season of “Allsång” since Lukas Graham was going to participate. But, no one wanted to go with me and I was quite tired after a long day at work so I ended up watching the program from my corner at home instead.

Back in the real world

Alarm went off at 06.00 AM and it was time to get back to the real world again. Had a quiet breakfast (hubby had already left for practice) and got to work plenty in time. A good day back – not too crowded and the commute worked. I managed to get home almost in time (only 1,5 hr late..) and picked up some groceries on the way.

Made burgers for dinner – served with mash and veggies for my boys and only veggies for me. Found some fresh asparagus on sale – yum! Just baked them in the oven. Mm.
