“I’m off the deep end,
watch as I dive in
I’ll never meet the ground
Crash through the surface where they can’t hurt us
We’re far from the shallow now”Oh, I want to see that movie. The song is amazing – written and performed by Lady Gaga. And Bradley Cooper is singing with her – a man with many talents. He directed the movie and is playing the leading part. And Sam Elliot is in it too. Say no more.
Cold day today – almost felt like it was about to snow this morning. But sunny and nice weather only just above 0C.
Chilly morning
It was a chilly start of the week with only a few degrees all day. No snow or frost though, but it didn’t seem far away.
I had to work some from home this afternoon but that was ok. It’s tricky to not work too much with the current situation. But it will be sorted eventually.
Made a wok from the beef left overs from yesterday for the boys. “Pyttipanna” for me and my husband. Now some tea and an episode of “Springfloden” before it is time to hug my pillow.
Rainy Sunday
A lazy Sunday in a way but we have been busy with house shores too. Sorting out things from upstairs among other things. My husband has baked some bread while I took care of the ironing and cleaning.
We have started to watch a new Netflix-series (new to us) called “La casa de papel” – about a robbery and it is quite good. We have watched several episodes today and we can recommend it! There are two seasons and we are half way thru the first one.
It’s been very grey and rainy today so we haven’t been outside all day. Next week is filled with fun stuff but we still have a few hours left to enjoy today before it is time to hug my pillow.
Family fun
Saturday and a day off. Lovely. After breakfast we went to get some groceries and also stuff for the party next weekend such as sodas, wine and beer. It is so tricky to guess how much we will need so I hope we have at least enough and hopefully there will be plenty left.
After lunch we went to the movies to meet up with my sister w/ family for some fun. We went to see the second part of Beautiful Beasts. It was a bit confusing, I thought, but good. The animations are amazing. It also ended with a cliff-hanger for a third movie..
After the movies we picked up some thai food and went to ours to have dinner, enjoy the spa and then snacks in front of the TV. First we watched “Så mycket bättre” and then we watched Beautiful Beasts – part 1. Lol. Needed some closure of the confusion.
Sunny Friday
Finally Friday. But in a way, the week has gone by really quickly. And what a lovely sunny day! No more rain! So nice with a bit of daylight!
A very busy day in a high tempo – my intentions were to finish early but I ended up doing some over-time anyway. Oh well. Felt better to finish before the weekend rather than having it waiting for me on Monday. We are looking for new law students to replace our current one who will move abroad next semester and we have received a couple of applications I wanted to schedule for interviews. Good for them too to get a quick reply too.
But now it’s time to enjoy my Friday eve with my family at home!
Have a great weekend.
Date x 2
What a special Thursday! Fun day at work. And a lunch date with my oldest son – always so precious! Nice to sit down just the two of us and talk for a bit over a bite to eat.
After work I met up with my dear friends M&J at Ramblas tapas restaurant for dinner. The food was great and I am sure I will visit this restaurant again. And it was lovely to spend a few hours with this great newly engaged couple (congratulations are in order !!)! Great discussions and a lovely time! After dinner we went to a bar near by and continued our chats for a bit longer before it was time to say our good byes and head home. After all – it is a work day tomorrow.
Moonlit ocean
Had lunch at the office before I left to go home so I stopped by a store on the way since I didn’t have to hurry home to eat. I found a nice “moonlit ocean”-colored dress (blue lol) that I liked – might wear it for my husbands party next week. Or maybe I’ll stick with the skirt I got a few weeks back. We’ll see.
This photo was taken when we went up to the sky bar last Friday. It turned out kind of cool, I think. Stockholm by night.
Spa
A hectic day with some challenges which was fun. Arrived back home after the others had already had their dinner. Decided to enjoy the spa for a bit since it doesn’t rain tonight. Yeah. Not very nice to sit out there when it is raining.
Now I’m all warm and cuddly and tucked in my corner with a cup of tea. Going to watch an episode of “Springfloden” from the other day. Lovely!
Game day
Monday eve and time to cheer on our team in handball. Unfortunately it wasn’t their best performance and they lost 29-20 towards Malmö. Malmö has recruited one of our star players and his brother is still playing with Hammarby so the two of them met tonight playing for different teams. Interesting. Too bad we lost.
It’s been raining for days now and it is getting really dark outside. I am so glad I am able to get off early a couple of days per week – to catch whatever daylight I can. God knows we need it to get through the winter darkness.
Father’s Day
Happy Father’s Day all amazing dads out there.
It’s a grey rainy fall day today – this photo was taken on a sunny day some time ago. It’s been a really dull weekend, weather-wise. If we would have had a fire place a fire would definitely be burning right now.
The Food and Wine fair was held this weekend and usually I attend but I didn’t feel up for it this year. It was a bit of a disappointment last year so I thought I’d give it a miss this time and save the money for next year instead. I need a new frying pan – might be a good X-mas gift.. A very small one for my morning omelette. So – no straight sides since I want to slide it off the pan, no lid and not too heavy so I can lift it with one hand.
