What a week. Managed to get home in time for the 5th hockey game – and we didn’t make life easy for Italy and won 8-1. Yeah!
Another fun thing to look forward to tonight – the final battle in Let’s Dance – where Anja faces Jesper. Skiing vs soccer. I put my money on Anja – I have followed her whole carrier and she has treated us tons of thrills and great moments.
My husband has left for the weekend to go with his work to Ireland. I have never been there – still on my places-to-go-list.
PS – Jesper won. They both deserved the title I guess. So, hat off for Jesper and Malin!
ESC – part 2
Time for the second round to pick the remaining ten contributions to the finale on Saturday.
And the last finalists are;
Bulgaria, Belarus, Croatia, Hungary, Denmark, Israel, Romania, Norway, the Netherlands and Austria.Very important game tonight. Sweden vs. Latvia. Not sure I dare to watch it. We need to start winning the games now if we want to advance in this championship. Fingers crossed.
(PS! We won 2-0! )
Progress
One step closer to the finish line. But we are very curious why they haven’t used all the space up to our property. I know they will add a pavement to the left in the picture. But there is still about 2 m left infront our house. Shall be interesting to see what they do next.
I have had a great afternoon starting with a lunch with an old friend and then a 3 hr visit to a hairdresser I used to go to 20 years ago. I am now officially blond again.
ESC – part 1
Time for the first qualification round in the Eurovision Song Contest. Since Ukraine won last year it is held in Kiev this year.
Tonight Sweden is first to perform followed by Georgia, Australia, Albania, Belgium, Montenegro, Finland, Azerbaijan, Portugal, Greece, Poland, Moldova, Iceland, Czech Republic, Cyprus, Armenia, Slovenia and Latvia.
Fingers crossed! The finale will be much more fun to watch if we are in it! So – go Robin! We will cheer on you tonight!
(Ps – he made it!!! )
SWE – US ?
I thought I’d rest some when I got home but the construction workers have been driving a road roller all afternoon and it was LOUD to say the least. So, I ended up vacuuming, doing laundry, baking and making a dinner that took a bit longer than the regular quick-and-easy kind.
The world championships continues.. Sweden is facing the US tonight – an important game for both teams to win to be able to challenge Russia in the group play and win the group. Go Sweden!
Day of rest
A bit tired today.. but surprisingly not as tired as I thought I would be after so little sleep. Woke up this morning and a whole day of no plans to look forward to. Lovely.
Our youngest took his first ride on his moped today – it is a bit tricky to start and our road is not in the best shape (haha) right now so he didn’t go very far. But, he gave it a go.
Then he went to see his friends and his brother went to see his friends so Peter and I went for a drive and bought a new flag for our flagpole. Or not a flag exactly – the long narrow kind we have here in Sweden when it is not a day of celebration. On the way back we decided to stop for a coffee at the café Lyran and enjoyed a piece of cheesecake.
Mamma Mia..
A Saturday packed with fun things! First my youngest managed to get his drivers license for moped. Yeah! So fun for him – to get some freedom driving and exploring the world with new eyes.
Then we celebrated my oldest niece who turned 18 last week. We had bought her wireless Urbanears headphones and I think she had a good birthday celebrations! Can’t believe our kids are getting so old!
After the celebrations we left our boys with my sister and her family and went into town to go and see “Mamma Mia – the Party” at Tyrol on Gröna Lund (an old traditional restaurang from the 1930s in the amusement park in Stockholm) together with friends. And the show was great. The food was ok. And the music was amazing. Great singers and performers. And the evening ended with a big party where everyone participated dancing for hours having fun. We got home at 02.30 the next morning..
Reach out ..
.. and touch faith!
So many good tunes and excellent lyrics. Written by Martin Gore. Sung by Dave Gahan. With the master Andrew Fletcher on the keyboards.
This is my fourth or fifth time – I know I saw them in 1986 and 2010, pretty sure I went 1998 and 2013. For some reason I can’t quite remember. What I do know is that I have been a fan for over 30 years. And I still love them.
“Black Celebration Tour” – Johanneshov Isstadion 1986
“The Singles Tour” – Globen 1998
“Tour of the Universe” – Globen 2010
“Delta Machine Tour” – Globen 2013
“Global Spirit Tour” – Friends 2017
Also time for some exciting ice hockey with the World Championships starting today. Russia up first (we lost 2-1 .. ) . Tomorrow Germany. Fingers crossed.
Dirt road
This is how far the construction has come. I guess they are getting closer. They have prepared foundations for the electricity polyns but I wonder why they have placed them so far out in the street. Oh well. I guess we’ll find out sooner or later.
Another sunny day but still cold in the morning. Only 4C when I left for work. But, no need for the winter coat anymore. Yeah.
A ? day!
A lovely afternoon but I was so tired I just crashed in my corner. Just did the basic stuff – laundry and dinner. In an effort to do some more use, I went outside and looked at our windows and thought I might clean them – then the construction workers started to drive their big trucks again in the dirt road outside our house and helped me decide to wait until they have finished our road and put new asfalt on the dirt. Lol. I hope it won’t be much longer now – the dirt is making a mess in the house. Looking forward to our new street after the make-over.
