An exciting day today. Our ladies have managed to reach the final in soccer in the Olympics. Never happened before. 
Our team manager, Pia Sundhage, seems to know what she is doing – being a previous soccer player herself (in Hammarby among other teams) and also previous team manager to the American ladies soccer team and led them to two Olympic gold. So three straight medals for her as a coach in the Olympics. Wow. I would be extremely disappointed if our team didn’t get one of the very prestigious awards in sports here in Sweden next year. But, I guess other ladies have a good shot at one of those awards too – Sarah Sjöström for instance – who both broke a world record and achieved three medals in the Olympics on her own.
Our ladies didn’t win the gold medal. They won silver. And we are so extremely proud of them. The game was very even and we almost managed to make that last goal to go to extra time. But, Germany won, 2-1. Congratulations!
