The day started in pouring rain but ended up in quite nice weather. I had to run a few errands at work today and passed these lovely little cottages on top of a building in town. I wonder what they use them for? Rent out for parties? Might look into that.
Tonight we have been to a graduation party – my nieces cousin graduated from Tullinge Gymnasium and we all wanted to be there to congratulate him! Three graduates among our friends this year. Now we will have to wait 2 years until it’s time for three more.
Short week
Since Monday was a national holiday this week is slightly shorter than usual. And even shorter since I have taken Thursday off. My youngest is graduating from 9th grade and is transferring to the next level of school after the summer. Tonight they are having a spring ball – a dinner at school with a formal dress code to give the teenagers a nice evening to remember. Last night with the old classmates. I hope he has a great time. Looked very handsome in his dark jeans blue jacket and grey pants. My boys are getting so big and grown up.
Nationaldag
An amazing day. My family and my sisters family have been pampered all day by my parents-in-law in our second paradise. Excellent food, company, weather. The three youngest family members dared to go for a dip in the ocean which was 16C. The rest of us chickened out.
To celebrate our national day we had brought the last bottle of prosecco from graduation. It was nice to enjoy a glass of bubbles in this lovely surrounding.
Now we are back home again – a bit sunburned and tired but happy. It has been a good day!
Sunday
A great day in many ways. We have gotten the house back in order. Cleaned away all evidence of a party. Run a ton of more laundry – all the blue table cloths cleaned and ready for the next party (whenever that may be). I have gone through the photos we took Friday and put them together in an album. Yeah!
My BFF and her boyfriend came over for a quick coffee to pick up something she forgot. Nice to see each other like that – just for a bit in-between things. No big plans or preparations. Just coffee. And a chat.
Next
A day of recovering and tidying up.. I think I have run 3 or 4 loads of dishes and 3 or 4 loads of laundry.. Gorgeous flowers to enjoy. And a whole cake left to finish! It was such a good day yesterday and I believe Michael was happy too. 32 people filled our house yesterday – so much fun to see everybody! The day was filled with sunshine but we were interrupted by a thunder rain for a bit. Fortunately we have the marquess so we could remain outside.
Tonight my parents have been over for dinner and coffee to finish some of the goodies from yesterday. Perfect!
Graduation 13tekA
My oldest son graduated today. And it was an amazing day. The day started with bright sunshine and really warm weather. My sister came over and helped me decorate the house while my husband gave Michael lift to Subtopia where the graduation took place. It was so much fun to be part of his day – to see all the other students, their families, all the greeting signs and happy people. I was so very proud of my handsome son and all that he has accomplished!
In the afternoon a lot of our friends and family came over for a buffet to greet Michael and enjoy a meal together and the traditional graduation cake. One big goal achieved – now let’s cross our fingers that his grades will be enough to be accepted to college.
Soon..
Last day to prepare before the big day. Long day at work but treated myself some time in the hammock after all the shores were done. My mother came over and helped me with some preparations .
Fingers crossed the weather Gods are kind tomorrow – we really need to be able to sit outside too since we will be having a lot of guests. The prognosis looks a bit wobbly – but with some luck it will be alright.
Peony
Another day with my excellent little assistant. She did good today too and I think she has enjoyed being with me at work. We had a short day today and went for lunch together after we’d finished. Starbucks chicken/bacon butty and a lemon poppy seed muffin to share served with one latte and one mangojuice. Yum.
We strolled through the Sturegallerian going to the subway and then she helped me pick up a few surprises for our graduating son in Skärholmen. Now some me-time before it’s time to get started on tonights dinner.
