This week has gone by so quickly – tomorrow it is Friday and weekend and another lovely weekend awaits filled with fun things.
Next week the boys are going down to our paradise with their grandparents. They are so excited and really want to go – I have another couple of weeks of work before we can join them. But soon soon!
Mid week
Already half way to the weekend. Enjoyed a nice lunch in town before I went back home after my short day. Unfortunately the busses run on their summer schedule now and of course I had just missed one. So, I took a walk back home which was probably good for me. Haven’t felt like walking after our vacation when we walked more than I ever have in a week, lol.
New day
A good day – got a lot done. Now I have enjoyed the season premiere of “Allsång på Skansen” and saw my youngest niece there in the crowd with her friends. She even got to sing with one of the artists – Frans – the guy who represented Sweden in the ESC.
Now time to watch an episode of Midsumer Murder. Life is not so bad. Almost done with the photo album from our trip too.
New week
Rainy Sunday
It has been raining all morning really heavily. Good thing we decided not to stay in our second paradise after all. They had promised rain later on today but I guess they were wrong.
Instead we are having a lazy day at home getting some laundry done. The second round is already in the machine.
Our elder tree is in full bloom now and I had planned on picking some flowers and make a new batch of lemonade but I’m not going out there when it is raining this bad. Maybe tomorrow. I need to buy caster sugar and lemons too.
Midsummer day
Back home again after a fantastic day in our second paradise to celebrate my father in laws birthday.
It was so sunny and warm all day. Great. We even dared to take a swim in the ocean – first one this year – and it was really nice. 19C. No complaints what so ever. We have been spoiled all day – and my mother in law has been the best hostess as usually. Thank you for a great day!
Midsummer
Midsummer at Gladö – with all of our friends! I think we were 27 this year – it varies a bit since not everybody is able to join us each time and now since some of the kids are adults and chose to spend Midsummer elsewhere. Each family challenged the rest of us with a competition – our family chose “beer-pong” but with water and no need to drink up the cups. It was a tournament where everyone faced everyone and took a while to complete but I think it was much appreciated since it brought out a real urge to win.
After playing the games and having a great herring lunch we all went to my sisters for a bbq dinner to celebrate her birthday and end a lovely day together. We sat outside until way past midnight. It was the warmest Midsummer we can remember and no rain hardly at all. It had been raining pretty heavy all night though – therefor the wellington boots on some of our feet. But no need for umbrellas or raincoats all day. Yeah!
Thursday
What a day. I am beat. The first half of the day was like working a full day. And then everything stopped since a lot of people got off early due to Midsummer tomorrow.
Went to get some groceries after we had our dinner. Needed something to bbq tomorrow night at my sisters.
Long weekend ahead – have a great one everyone!
Party
Tonight we have been to a friends 50th birthday party and I had made her this light house. Stole the idea from my sister – hers turned out great! I think mine turned out pretty good too. It has a solar cell on top so it lights up in the dark if it is placed outside to gather sunlight. I hope she liked it.
Tonight we are cheering on Sweden who is playing their third game in the group qualification round in the soccer European championships. Zlatan has announced that he is leaving the Swedish team after this tournament. If they loose tonight this will be his last game in the Swedish jersey. Fingers crossed they win – if they do the will play the eight final.
Follow the arrow
Time for midsummer smörgåsbord for lunch at work – took me a couple of hours to organize. But it was well worth it – I got loads of compliments which is always nice.
Dead tired after the long day – good that I only had to follow the arrow in the subway.. lol
When I got back home I had received a positive decision from Försäkringskassan. Yeah! Celebrating with M&Ms!
