The clouds are moving very quickly today – it almost looks like they are on fast forward. Looks pretty spectacular.

Challenge
Sometimes life takes a different turn than what you expect
. I just need to learn to take one day at a time. Focus on what’s important in my life – my boys, family, inner calm and harmony, health & good friends. Try to see opportunities instead of letting the black clouds get in the way.
An old Chinese saying says “If the darkness bothers you – light a candle”. I’m going to do that tonight.
Pins and needles
What a great weekend with a lot of outdoor time to gather tons of D-vitamins for the winter. I just got back home from work and started dinner – salmon is cooking in
the oven, pork filet for the kids (they don’t eat fish) done, rise with vegetable stock almost ready.
I feel energized after some me-time with my naprapath who managed to get rid of the big blockage I have had in my right shoulder since about a week. I was doing too much the other day at work and the pain arrived like a letter in the mailbox. But after a few acupuncture needles in the right places I am good to go again! Thank you!
Sunny Sunday
A fantastic morning – only a couple of degrees above C but sunny and clear blue sky. We spent the day helping my parents-in-law with getting their paradise ready for the winter.
Then we went to a friends house to get a sort of a pergola they didn’t need anymore . We plan to use it for the rosebush we planted in our paradise to support it a bit.
Tonight we have had my parents over for a coffee and apple cake made from their apples. It was lovely to see them for a bit since we won’t be able to in a while now.
Spiken
The
45th edition of Spiken took place today and both my husband, brother-in-law and niece participated (she killed my old personal best btw – by several minutes.. ).
It is a fun tradition that my parents have kept alive all these years. My mom bakes a ton of cinnamon buns and the last couple of years they have also served hotdogs to everyone who is there. The number of participants were a lot larger in the good old days but there is still enough people interested in coming to make it an event worth having.
This year was pretty special because the numbers that the participants wear were especially designed for the event this year! With a big nail on and everything! Cool!
Friday again
Oh I’m so happy how the candles turned out yesterday. I would love to do it again soon!
Friday arrived quickly this week. My family has been through a lot lately and we are all tired and out of energy. So – lovely to have a whole weekend ahead. With fun outdoor things planned (= D-vitamins!)
I had my nails polished again today – some important me-time for hardly any money squeezed into my lunch hour. I am a bit vain, I know. But finally my nails look pretty good and what woman doesn’t want to have nails to be proud of?
Pyssel hos M – 15 okt 2015
Vilken trevlig kväll! God mat och härligt sällskap! Och jätteroligt pyssel!
Vi har pysslat “vanliga” ljus med stearin-plattor som vi gjorde figurer av och dekorationsband som vi satte fast. Men vi provade även ett nytt pyssel där vi smälte ett speciellt stearin och färgade och sen hällde det över ljusen och fick en härlig effekt. Jätteroligt! Kommer vi säkert göra igen!
Kaffe med chokladtårta och vispgrädde avslutade en skön kväll!
Midweek
It is getting so very dark in the mornings and harder and harder to wak
e up. The sun has managed to get up by the time we leave home but it won’t be for much longer. I need to spend more time outside and get all the extra sun-vitamins I can get to last me through the winter. We all do.
My orchids are in full bloom right now and brightens up the windows. Makes me smile!
Cloudy day
After work I took the commuter train and it made a stop for a couple of minutes on one of the bridges which gave me an opportunity to take this photo of our City Hall with the three golden crowns on top. I have only been in there a couple of times – at my cousins wedding for once and a few other times showing visiting friends around.
Tonight I served my family homemade burgers with fries. Now the candles are lit and some coffee to enjoy. Chers!
Here we go
Yesterday afternoon I took an hour walk around the lake and it was just beautiful. I love how it turns into a mirror and reflects the clouds.
Another soccer game tonight in the qualifying towards the European championships. We are facing Moldavia and we need to win. But we also need Russia to loose their game towards Montenegro (not going to happen). If those two things occur we have qualified. If not, I think there is still a slim chance we will make it.
