PyeongChang Winter Olympics 2018

The last day of the Olympics and I am tucked in my corner following the ladies 30km mass start classics. Our last chance on a medal this time.

We have managed to get a lot of medals this Olympics – some surprises and some expected. But we have also missed some of our chances to medal – our freestyle skiers (ski-cross) and snowboard (big-air) failed in their efforts, our cross country men didn’t manage to reach any medals (a lot of close ones) but my biggest disappointment was, of course, our hockey teams who both lost in their quarter finals. But over all we have done great! Go Sweden!!!

Pia

Happy names’ day, mom!

Great day at the Olympics today – first a gold in slalom for men, Andre Myhrer! Yeah! And then a silver in the 4x6km biathlon relay for women! And our gents managed to go thru to the finale in curling, so at least a silver (hopefully gold) for them too!

Now fingers crossed our ladies will be equally successful in their curling semi final tomorrow.

Olympics weekend awaits!

Finally Friday and some time on my hands to catch up on all the lovely sports I’ve been missing out on this week due to work. I’ve been trying to follow the live comments on the net but no live pictures so it is really not the same. This morning we woke up to Frida Hansdotter winning her first gold medal in slalom in the Olympics. So fun for her! And so well deserved!

Our hockey team is looking kind of wobbly even though they have won their first two games. I hope they will get their heads together for the more challenging opponents. Tomorrow morning I will hopefully be able to cheer on our ladies facing Finland in the quarter finals in hockey. Exciting!

I’ve been following the curling teams too and they are both doing great so far with only wins (I think). Yeah!

More medals

This morning our ladies competed in the 10k free cross country skiing and it was really exciting to follow. And our amazing Charlotte Kalla managed to get the silver medal!

Then it was time for the biathlon ladies to do the 15k individual and Hanna Öberg won gold! What a good start of the day!

A very busy at work so I decided to stay a late to finish. I like to be able to go home without having piles waiting for me in the morning. Nice to arrive to a clean desk and start fresh. After dinner we soaked in the spa for a bit. Lovely.

Silver medal!

My youngest is home and lasagna is on his wishlist for what to eat while home. And I’m happy to assist, especially on a day like this when I get off work early and have some extra time on my hand.

First a quick visit to the hospital for blood tests for both my boys – now lasagna in the oven and the second machine with laundry is almost done.

Watching the summary of the winter olympics in PyeongChang – a second medal for Sweden (first a gold in skiathlon for Charlotte Kalla) and now a silver medal in biathlon achieved by Sebastian Samuelsson. Yeah!
