European Song Contest – grand finale in Kiev 2017

Time for our yearly evening of ESC-competition between friends and family. Unfortunately, this year our usual crowd is slightly decimated with six people not able to make it. So, tonight we have instead increased our crowd with two new team-players – grandma and grandpa! Yeah! The more the merrier!

The contestants tonight are;

1. Israel
2. Poland
3. Belarus
4. Austria
5. Armenia
6. The Netherlands
7. Moldova
8. Hungary
9. Italy
10. Denmark
11. Portugal
12. Azerbaijan
13. Croatia
14. Australia
15. Greece
16. Spain
17. Norway
18. United Kingdom
19. Cyprus
20. Romania
21. Germany
22. Ukraine
23. Belgium
24. Sweden
25. Bulgaria
26. France

And the winner is; Portugal – Salvador Sobral  with the song”Amar Pelos Does” – 758 points
Second place:  Bulgaria 615 p
Third place:  Moldova – 374 p

Sweden ended up on an honorable 5th place for the second year in a row. Yeah. The scores between third – sixth place were very tight (374 – 334 p).

We now have to pass on the desirable trofé Filip won last year to this years winner – Camilla! Congratulations! Theme for next years dinner – Portuguese food! Let’s start a new tradition and have a country theme! Could be a challenge!

ESC – part 2

Time for the second round to pick the remaining ten contributions to the finale on Saturday.

And the last finalists are;
Bulgaria, Belarus, Croatia, Hungary, Denmark, Israel, Romania, Norway, the Netherlands and Austria.

Very important game tonight. Sweden vs. Latvia. Not sure I dare to watch it. We need to start winning the games now if we want to advance in this championship. Fingers crossed.

(PS! We won 2-0! )

ESC – part 1

Time for the first qualification round in the Eurovision Song Contest. Since Ukraine won last year it is held in Kiev this year.

Tonight Sweden is first to perform followed by Georgia, Australia, Albania, Belgium, Montenegro, Finland, Azerbaijan, Portugal, Greece, Poland, Moldova, Iceland, Czech Republic, Cyprus, Armenia, Slovenia and Latvia.

Fingers crossed! The finale will be much more fun to watch if we are in it! So – go Robin! We will cheer on you tonight!

(Pshe made it!!! )
