Another sunny day. Amazing. I sure hope there will be some sunshine left by the time it is our turn to be on holiday.
Our apple tree is completely covered with fruit this year. Don’t think I’ve ever seen it so full. I hope they won’t all fall off the tree due to no rain or a heavy rainfall. We might have plenty of fruit to share in a month or so if anyone is interested. We are not able to take care of it all. Not even on a normal year with less fruit.
Last semi final tonight in the world cup. Yesterday France managed to defeat Belgium and tonight England is facing Croatia.
Currants
We had a lot of red currants this year but the black ones are not so many or big as they usually are. The apple tree by the street is completely covered with apples – don’t think I’ve ever seen so many on this tree before.
Tonight I met up with a dear old friend for dinner. It was her birthday and she chose to spend the evening with me! So we went to Casa del Lago – a local restaurant by the lake – and sat outside in the sun and had a great sallad and a glas of rosé. We had a perfect evening – walked back and forward to the restaurant and could really catch up on everything. Her dad passed away last week and I knew him pretty well too. She was calm about it – sad of course but together. Life goes on.
Week 2 out of 3
New week – new challenges. A day in a very high tempo with hardly any breaks all day. Went to pick up documents and picked up some sushi for lunch while I was out anyway. Didn’t have time to sit down and enjoy it until after 1 PM. All of a sudden it was time to head back home. Puh.
After dinner I have helped my oldest with some paperwork and now I’ve crashed infront of a new episode of “Good fight”. More lawyer-stuff, haha. But I love the show. Have a great week everyone!
Berries
One more day of weekend to enjoy. Tried to sleep in but I am, as you know by now, not very good at that. Instead I got up and enjoyed a nice breakfast and when my husband woke up we watched the episode of Poldark from the other day.
Then my husband worked on the garage driveway to get rid of all the weeds while I picked the red currants that were left. F picked a bag the other day, but there were still some left so I took care of those.
I’ve been working on the photo album from our trip and Fs year abroad and I am almost done. Good to get it sorted before too long. It will be a nice memory to keep.
Tonight K stopped by with some things and to pick up a few things too. Driving all by herself. I remember that feeling – even though it was a very long time ago.
Quarter final Sweden vs. England
Stockholm is crawling with yellow t-shirts of different kind so we decided to play our part and get them too. We invited family and friends over for an afternoon and evening of fun to watch the game and be part of the yellow-wall supporting our team. Said and done. Unfortunately England was the better team in this quarter final and managed to defeat us 2-0. I guess congratulations are in order – both for England but also for our team who has been brilliant in this world cup.
After the game we had a bbq and sat outside to enjoy a meal together. My sister joined us too after her week on Gotland – picked up by her daughter who managed to get her drivers license yesterday! Yeah!
Then some played “Rising Sun” while the others chatted and / or watched a movie on TV. A great evening among friends. Too bad we lost the game though..
One of three
I have three weeks in-between my two vacations and today I completed week one. Two to go. It’s been a good but extremely busy week. I am also working full time these three weeks which I’m not used to – besides being on my own assisting everyone. Can’t believe it’s been a whole week since we spent the morning on this lovely beach in northern Germany. Seems longer. I hope some of the lovely weather is left for our time off. That would really be nice.
Appointment
Went in a bit early to work today since I was gone for a part of the day accompanying M to his doctors appointment which went very well.
Tonight we were busy bees going to get groceries. We haven’t been shopping for a while so we needed a lot of things. M came along too. It is so hard to buy things for my boys – much better if they can come along and chose things themselves. We had some coupons to use and offer to try a new locally produced ice-cream, so now we have rewarded ourselves with some each. Yum!
Midweek
A very hectic week so far but fun and filled with chores. My stress-level has actually reduced dramatically the last week which can have a several explanations. My promise-to-self at new years might start showing result!
A couple of soccer-free days now in-between the eighth finals and quarter finals. Time to catch up on other programs on the tele. First out – a couple of episodes of “The good fight”. Lovely.
Important game ?? vs. ??
The world cup in soccer is down to the last couple of eighth finals.
First out today was Sweden vs. Switzerland and later on tonight England will be facing Colombia. The winner in both games will face each other in the quarter final on Saturday.
We all gathered around the TV at work and watched the game together. Fun! And extra fun that we won – 1-0! Sweden hasn’t made it passed the eighth final since 1994 when we made it all the way to the bronze medal. So – go Sweden! This is our year! The city is covered with big screen tv’s and happy people wearing yellow jerseys. A big folk festival! Fun!
Back to reality
Time to get back to reality again and work for a couple of weeks before we have some more time off to enjoy. It was actually quite a good day and I managed to get a lot done. The day went by really fast.
Had a sallad for lunch.. the scale laughed at me when we got back home. We haven’t really had a lot to eat or snack during the trip, but all those hours sitting still in a car can’t be good for the weight. Obviously. Lol. Hopefully it will get back to normal just by getting back to my usual life again.
