Race 1 – STHLM Trail Run

I am so allergic – or have a cold – can’t really tell which one it is. I’m not able to breathe through my nose, I keep sneezing and my head aches. Not great. So, I decided to not accompany my husband and my brother-in-law to cheer them on when they participated in the first race out of four (plus one bonus race). The first race was the STHLM Trail Run and it took place in the forrest in Norra Djurgården. All 5 runs are 10 k – 4 of them are part of the STHLM Challenge that I gave my husband and my brother-in-law for their birthdays. The last one is the Midnattsloppet that my father gave them for Xmas.

Peter completed the race in 1 hr 2 min 50 sec and Jörgen was not far behind with 1 hr 9 min 47 sec. Great job!

Oh – and Sweden won 5-0 towards  Belarus yesterday. Good start of the tournament. Next game for us is tomorrow – towards Czechia.

Today the sun is shining from a clear blue sky and it is about 20C outside. Yeah!

Fika

Friday and time for a date after work with these two lovely ladies. We met up under the cherry trees but decided to go for “fika” instead of ice-cream. Said and done – we found a café and enjoyed pie and a soda.

Afterwards we strolled through some stores before it was time to head back home. Thank you, ladies, for a great couple of hours! Let’s do it soon again!

Now I’m tucked up in my corner waiting for the ice-hockey game to start. Fingers crossed we will defend our title from last year!

Soon.. ?

Tomorrow the world championships in ice-hockey starts and Sweden is facing Belarus at 20.15. Perfect. After work. No need to rush home. Lol.

We had ordered a tv to be delivered and installed at work today but the delivery guys called to let us know their truck had been emptied by thieves. So our tv was stolen. What??? The story continuous tomorrow..

Midweek

Midweek. I met up with my oldest after work and treated him lunch. I really enjoy spending time with him and I get really happy every time he wants to see me in town.

After lunch I walked over to Kungsträdgården to look at the cherry trees in bloom. They are so gorgeous. Too bad it wasn’t a sunny blue-sky day then the photos would have been even better.

Birthday party

Last day of the long weekend and time to celebrate my oldest niece. Her birthday is tomorrow but since today is a national holiday they held the birthday party today. We gave her a waffle iron and I think she liked the gift.

The day started out quite rainy and grey but as the day went by it got better and better so when we got back home I took a walk in the sunny weather and handed out the last thank-you-cards. Tonight we will be lazy and go for a take-away-thai-dinner. We already had some left-overs for lunch so we didn’t want more left-overs for dinner too – haha.
