Sunshine ?
What a day. It is almost too hot to sit in the sun. A few minutes at a time then I need the shade. The garden is starting to bloom in all corners now and the apple blossoms are not far away now.
Fortunately I have an excuse to sit indoors for a bit when the sun is the most dangerous.. Lol. Yes, ice hockey. Sweden is facing Slovakia at noon today. The first game that isn’t an evening game for us. Let’s hope this one will go as well as the other four so far.
Tonight we are going to my sisters house for dinner together with our other friend-family and watch the ESC finale. A lovely evening with great friends to look forward to. Have a great Saturday!
Vacation
I decided to treat myself a day off and make it a long weekend. Unfortunately my husband had to work half the day. After breakfast I went over to the new garden center that just opened the other day close to where we live. They had so much fun to chose from so I ended up with the car full of lovely plants. Stopped by to get groceries too. Spent the morning outside decorating our garden with the new flowers. It is really a beautiful day today. Tonight we are going to bbq and hopefully we can have dinner outside. It’s a bit windy and our patio doesn’t get any sunshine by dinner so it can get a bit chilly there.
Have a great Friday everyone! And the whole weekend still left to enjoy!
ESC – part 2
Time for the second qualification round in the Eurovision Song Contest. And tonight Sweden participates – let’s hope Benjamin Ingrosso and his “Dance you off” will make it to the finale.
Tonight we pick the second ten to reach the finale – and the contestants are; Norway, Romania, Serbia, San Marina, Denmark, Russia, Moldavia, the Netherlands, Australia, Georgia, Poland, Malta, Hungary, Latvia, Sweden, Montenegro, Slovenia and the Ukraine.
National holiday
A very sunny and nice day and a day off due to the Ascension of Christ.
After a busy morning taking care of various house chores we went over to the mall to see if we could find a birthday present for M. We didn’t buy anything but we have an idea of what to get. We had a nice lunch at Sawadee and when we had finished our shopping we stopped at my parents for an afternoon coffee.
Sweden isn’t playing hockey today which gives us a chance to cheer on our contestant in the ESC instead. Lol. Go Sweden!
Vanilla
It was supposed to be a short day today but I ended up with 2 hrs overtime. Oh well. I got off rather early anyhow and left the office close to 2.30 PM. Felt good to finish the things I could before my long weekend.
Took my time going home – strolled through some clothes stores and tried to find something to wear. Found a pair of trousers, but nothing else. Missed the bus so I treated myself to an ice-cream while I waited for the next one.
Made a nice dinner for my boys and now we are watching an episode of “the Rain” that we are following on Netflix before it’s time to cheer on Tre Kronor again. This time facing Austria.
ESC – part 1
Time for the first qualification round in the Eurovision Song Contest. This year held in Lisbon since Portugal won last year.
Tonight we pick the first ten to reach the finale – and the contestants are; Azerbaijan, Iceland, Albania, Belgium, Czech Republic, Lithuania, Israel, Belarus, Estonia, Bulgaria, F.Y.R Macedonia, Croatia, Austria, Greece, Finland, Armenia, Switzerland, Ireland and Cyprus.
Summer feel
What a day! 25C in the city. I had to walk over to a client with some documents and it was so warm outside. Lovely.
Dinner was waiting for me (the other two had already eaten though) when I got home from my long day. Nice. Sausage stroganoff with rise. Mmm. We haven’t made that in years.
No hockey for Sweden today but we defeated France last night with 4-0. Three games – three wins. So far so good.
Monday
A very nice start of this short week with lovely weather and short (but quite busy) day at work. Went to get some stuff for work on my way home. Also tried to find some new clothes but no luck. They look great on the net and when you see them live they look like crap. Not even worth trying on. Why is it so hard to find something decent?
Made fish casserole for dinner with cod and salmon. And minute steak for my son. Now tucked in my corner for a bit before the third hockey game is about to start. Facing France tonight.
Sunny Sunday
Finally some warm weather again and no plans other than gaining new energy and get well. I’ve had a cold all weekend (or something) but today I felt slightly better and dared to sit outside for a bit. We took a walk over to the café near by in the afternoon and it felt ok so I’m sure I’ll be able to work tomorrow.
Enjoyed watching our pride and joy defeat Czechia 3-2 this afternoon but it got a bit too nerve-racking before the end. But, so far so good. Two wins in two games. Next game towards France tomorrow.
Short week to look forward to – I only work Monday-Wednesday then I’m off Thursday-Sunday. Yeah! I can easily get used to these 3-day work-weeks.
