A long day has come to an end. First a check up at my doctors. The view from her office is pretty amazing overseeing Odenplan. Then rush to work where I’ve been busy busy busy all day.
Hurry home – fix dinner – then run over to the mall with my youngest to find some new stuff, which we did. Now I’ve crashed in my corner for a bit of catching up on my life in space – lol. See ya!
A nice day with a lovely sushi lunch together with a friend. Then back to reality and daily obligations such as taking care of a house and family.
After driving our young ones to church I gave myself 45 min in the mall before picking them up again. Didn’t find anything – I’m not very good at shopping. Need more practice. Lol.
Now I’ve enjoyed a small dinner – trying to stick with my plan. So far so good.
Tuesday treat. Birthday at the office. Choice of celebration treat : selection of buns. Chocolate, cinnamon, cardamom and butter. And they are soooo delicious and an absolute nightmare with respect to my ambition to stay away from sweets. The main department store in Stockholm has the most amazing buns and they are almost worth the fortune they cost. So I compromised and had a half. Better than a whole one. And definitely better than to sit and watch everyone else enjoy these delicious pastries.
Still raining. Good for the grass and to keep the flowers happy and the pollen in control. Positive thinking.
Rainy Monday but my apple branches are in bloom. The ones indoor. In a vas. Lol. They are really pretty together with the forsythia.
Bought some new herbaceous perennial plants this weekend – I am still trying to figure out what work and what doesn’t in our back yard. This time I wanted a few plants in one of the big pots – keep your fingers crossed they will be happy there!
A lovely Sunday with my sister and parents. Not great weather but not bad either. We took the ferry over to Ekerö and then drove to my dad’s cousin to congratulate him on his birthday. It was a really nice visit with friendly people and great food. And I love to spend time just the four of us too. Really special.
Now waiting for my youngest to return from his camp. Can’t wait to hear all about it.
Up with the rooster as we say here in Sweden. Or actually even a bit earlier than that. My youngest is away on a weekend camp and needed a ride this morning.
So, up early and enjoying a nice breakfast with boiled egg and caviar on bread – yum! Then a nice coffee in my corner watching tv for a bit. And it’s not even 9am yet! A whole day ahead to enjoy. It’s a bit chilly but sunny and blue sky. Good day for a long walk.
Today I allowed myself pizza for lunch. Me and my best friend had lunch together so that was a bonus too. Haven’t seen her in ages and it was great to see her again. Our monthly dates have been impossible to maintain this semester for some reason. So we have already booked the next one!
After a pizza lunch I had to go back to my healthy life again so I had sallad for dinner. But an extra yummy one with shrimps and asparagus. And maybe a glass of red later on..Have a great weekend!
Hattori Sushi Devil at K25 have great sushi. Really great. All the pieces are decorated nicely and each one has an individual look and spice. My only complaint is that they are gone before you know it and maybe a tiny bit too small. But they are truly delicious.
Hmm.. I will continue the fish theme tonight – going to cook flounder covered with panko. Never tried that before so that will be interesting. .
Today my mom came into town and joined me for lunch. I am so glad we can spend time together like this. Not everyone has the advantage of living close to their parents. Or enjoying their company like I do. I feel very blessed.
Soon we will have a whole week together. Eating good food. Taking walks. Watching sunsets. Chatting. Life is good.
What a day. It’s been one of those days completely filled with stuff to do – I’m dead tired now but pretty pleased with my day. I like having a lot to do – especially when I get it all done!
Today it’s April fools day. Can’t say I’ve noticed. Sometimes they have pretty funny jokes in the paper but I haven’t read it today.
My forsythia is in bloom. At least the branch I have inside. I got the plant when I was born and it blooms for my birthday every year. A nice tradition.
