Our week together has come to an end and it was time to go back to the city again. So, we packed up, cleaned the house and drove the 6-7 hrs in clear sunshine and blue sky. My only wish for this week was that the nice weather would have come a bit earlier – it was a bit too windy and rainy the first couple of days for my liking. But, the other half of the week was wonderful!

Now we have bought groceries, the laundry machine is filled with the first pile of clothes and I am enjoying a latte, my computer and a taped sequeal on the TV – “Killing”. And we are off tomorrow too – so one more day before we are all back to school and work again.

A bright sunny day.. enjoying my birthday present together with my youngest. I really love my new chair – it will be my new favorite place.

We have celebrated this last day together in paradise with a glass of bubbly after finishing putting in the new door and window in our house.

Today spring arrived and we have been able to be outdoors all day. Let’s hope for one more sunset tonight.. they are good for the soul and gives me energy to last for another while. Unfortunately I’m still coughing. .

It has really been a great Easter break and I feel sad it has already come to an end – but also very grateful that we could all be down here for a whole week together. Life is good!

Alböke Kyrka – the original parts were built in the 11th century but the church was formed the way it is today in 1862. A piece of history. We went to Good Friday mass at noon.

Now it is time for the big Easter smorgasbord with this chocolate cake for dessert. Not great weather today so it’s nice to be indoor and enjoy the food, company and view!

Today it is very windy and cloudy. But we took an hour walk and tried to walk off some of that good food we ate yesterday.

Later on we will treat ourselves a dinner out and after that some of us will go to church for Easter mass.

Föra Kyrka has an Easter sermon tonight at 19:00. I have never been to mass on Öland so that will be interesting.  

What a lovely day – sunshine, blue sky and no wind. We went grocery shopping for Easter – a necessary must. After a nice lunch we got busy installing our new door, painting wooden boards and preparing dinner. Home made “kroppkakor” after great grandma’s recipe. 

The dinner turned out great! Now we just got back from a nice walk – just in time to enjoy the sunset! Now a coffee and time to relax a bit before bed.

This morning my whole family surprised me in bed and sang for me, served me breakfast, gave me flowers and presents. It was really special! Even a nice tray with a lit candle on! Lovely!

The day has really been great in every sense – I have been placed in my corner and waited on all day! Not used to that so I am very grateful!

Then we had a small celebration with my aunt and uncle and enjoyed a glass of bubbly and a red velvet cake!

 

It has been a very sunny day but also some rain. No wind which is nice! Tonight my sister and mother are surprising me with a dinner – I have no idea what they are preparing but I am really looking forward to that!

 

 

Shopping day.. going all the way into town. 60km one way. But we managed to buy everything we had on our list.

Now we are heading back home with a car full of things to put together, install and manage to work. 

Fun! But I do long for a coffee after all this running around.

It has been a real April weather so far with rain and sunshine every other hour. Quite windy too – but very cozy to sit inside and watch the wonderful view of the ocean with something nice to eat and drink and maybe a nice fire in the fireplace. Mmm..

Today it has been a real April weather day with rain and sunshine every other hour.
We have been really good with our exercises – let us hope we can keep it up. Started out with a 2 k walk (not that long but something at least). Then we have been jumping with my new skiprope that counts the jumps. Completely exhausting exercise.  I have also done my situps and abdominal work out.  Wow.
Now my sis and her girls have arrived! Fun fun. And on Tuesday my brother-in-law will join us. Then the family is complete.

Finally!

I am not sure how good it was to get up and drive all this way after the party last night.. I didn’t drive (for obvious reasons.. lol) but my husband, who doesn’t touch alcohol, drove but I think he was a bit too tired for the task. But, we took our time and a lot of breaks to eat food and ice cream. And now we are here.

I guess our car raises a lot of questions with our two unicycles on the roof… I have said I will give it a try – but no promises. I will probably injure myself beyond repair.. lol..

Now a latte and a glas of red in my paradise corner.. Life is good!

 

What a Friday! Last day before Easter break – tons of things to finish before the holiday. But I did good. Had to leave work early to pick up my eldest from school since he wanted to bring his computer with him over the holidays. Then home and get ready for a fantastic party! I haven’t had such a good time in ages – it was really a big success!

The dinner was excellent – a buffet of delicatessen from Gotland! Really nice wine to go with and also a selection of nice cheeses for dessert. Saffron pancake with the coffee later.

The group “Lady be Good” played live and they are really professional – excellent musicians and a lot of fun!

I haven’t danced so much in ages. Tired and happy we arrived home really late – thank you for a great party!
