Early start today and we took the bus and subway into town after breakfast. Then we went by bus to Kungsträdgården and some time on our hands before the guided boat tour began, so we visited the Jacobs Church and also saw the Opera house.
Then we went on a 2 hr guided boat ride under 12 bridges starting at Strömkajen and going all the way over to the City Hall and then back again. It started to rain some on the tour but not too bad. Back on land again we walked over to Gamla Stan for lunch. We tried the Tradition but it was full so we ended up having lunch at Den Gyldene Freden, which is the oldest restaurant in Stockholm. It has been open since 1722. We had their speciality meatballs with mash. Mmm.
After that we went to take the Katarinahissen to look at the views of Stockholm. Then a visit to the Catholic Cathedral and finally we went to the skybar “Himlen” for a quiet drink to end a great day.
