This morning the alarm woke us up at 6AM so that we could make it in time to the registration of the Hyrox competition my hubby had signed up for. Puh. Of course I came along to cheer him on and give my support.
There was about 8000 people participating over the weekend – all divided into different slot times to spread out the start groups. Hubby started at 09.40 – first out a 1k run – then 8 different stations (1000m SkiErg / 50m Sled Push / 50m Sled Pull / 80m Burpee Broad Jump / 1000m Row / 200m Farmers Carry / 100m Sandbag Lunges / Wall Balls ) with a 1k run in-between each one of them.
1 hrs 40 minutes 37 secs later, he finished as number 6 in his age-group among the athletes today and 26 place out the 37 in his age-group from the whole weekend. Rank 901 in total of the almost 1100 male athletes. Not bad for a first attempt! So proud of him!
