Today I reached a 1500 day streak of Duolingo! Amazing.

My husband has cleaned our spa today so it is ready to be enjoyed during chilly fall evenings or cold winter days. Lovely.

Last day of Finnkampen – and I watched it from the comfort of my corner. Just made a break to cheer on our team in the derby towards AIK (which we lost 3-2 after a very eventful game we should have won).

After the second day – congratulations to Finland who won 3 out of 4 and congratulations to our Swedish ladies!

A rainy Saturday. We have done our regular chores and now we can enjoy some indoor time due to the bad weather. Tomorrow it will clear up so then we will probably work outside.

This weekend it is time for Finnkampen – but it is held in Helsinki this year so we won’t attend. But, they send it on TV so we can follow the competition from the comfort of our corners. Lovely. Go Sweden!

Time for the yearly 10k run Midnattsloppet. My hubby and brother-in-law are participating for the X time (I’ve lost count but they have been participating since forever). Midnattsloppet has a great on-line feature so you can follow your favorite runners around the track. Love it. My parents are on site and so is some of our friends too cheering on their family.

They both managed to complete the race – great job! 

Time for the world cup in soccer! This time held in three countries – USA / Canada / Mexico. Sweden managed to qualify eventually and is now competing in group F together with Tunisia, Japan and the Netherlands. 48 countries in groups of 4.

And we got the best possible start with a 5-1 win towards Tunisia and the other teams in our group played an even 2-2. Yeah!

The bummer is that there is a big time difference so our first game took place at 4AM this morning our time. Oh well. I learned about the result when I woke up and then I watched the game on SVT Play after work. Perfect. Especially since we won!

Finally time to attend our first soccer home game of the season – facing the newcomers Örgryte who, so far, has done really well with one win / one loss (same as us). Me and my dad went together – dressed and ready for the occasion. Almost 27,000 people attended the game and the sun was shining. A lovely day. After the first period we had a 4-1 lead and we joked about doing another 4 goals in the second half. AND WE DID. Won 8-1 with a fantastic hat-trick from Vasic in the last 20. Yeah. Best result in 13 years for our team and we were there to see it.

Then the fun day continued with a fun evening. We were invited to our friends cocktail party – so we got all dressed up with wearing tuxedo and fancy dress. Fun! They had prepared a cocktail menu to choose from and served various deli meat, fruits, veggies and cheeses to snack on. We had a great evening among our closest friends – a perfect way to end a perfect day! Thank you for a great evening!

A rainy day but with some silver lining. First I had a nice lunch with a former colleague. We had a lot to talk about and the food at the restaurant was great, so a very nice lunch. 

Tonight I had a date with my dad and we went to cheer on our team playing handball. They managed to loose a big lead to a small lost 34-33 in the last second, so that was not good. But, we will end up on third place regardless in the group play and now the series continues with the top 8 teams. 

Great news for our soccer ladies who have reached the semi finals in the UEFA Women’s Europa Cup. They won the first leg (funny name) towards the Czech team Sparta Praha with 3-2. Leg 2 is played next week in Stockholm. The other semi finals was between Häcken and the German team Eintracht and Häcken won 3-0. So great evening for the Swedish teams!
