The world

Today it is my oldest sons name day – Michael. During the summer we celebrate all the name days in the family that comes up during the vacation, but during the rest of the year we often forget to acknowledge these days. Hmm. Need to change that. 

I missed my bus on the way home and I refused to wait 30 min for the next one. So, even though it was completely dark outside and I had high heels on I walked back from the subway. My activity bracelet started to buzz half way home so that was at least some reward. It buzzes when I have reached my daily walking goal, which is 10.000 steps. Boy, did I wish I would have worn my sneakers instead.

A short but very busy Monday at work – with several meetings and lunches to organize. 

After all that carrying it was perfect to get some me-time  – I had an appointment with my naprapath who worked his miracle with my back.

Then we had a real treat for dinner – since we went to the competition yesterday and didn’t have dinner at the same time, we decided to have the tenderloin today instead. On a Monday. What an excellent way to start the week! And it turned out fantastic. Mmmm.

Now some time in my corner with my new candles to make it extra cosy. Have a great evening everyone!

Time for some fun team gym competition. Huddinge GF had their yearly mix open competition. Last year my youngest managed to get a silver medal in this competition. This year he is not participating but we cheered on his youngest cousin and her team managed to achieve the gold!

We had a dramatic day today and had to rush my dad to the hospital for some stitches in his head. He walked into a branch while mowing the lawn. Fortunately he is back home again and feels better.

A weekend filled with memories and old friends.

Tonight me and two dear friends are organizing a class reunion dinner. 14 of our friends from when we once started school 40 years ago will meet up at a restaurant and spend a couple of hours together. We have managed to locate all 26 of our classmates and have received an answer from everyone except 3 which is great.

Let the fun begin!

A special day in many ways – besides a full day at work I managed to squeeze in a nice lunch with an old friend. After work I treated myself something I have never done before – I had my nails done and they turned out great! French style. I hope the polish will last a while.

Tonight I have been to an alumni gathering with friends from my time with HP. It was the second one I have been to and I hope they will arrange more nights like these. It is so much fun to see old friends and catch up. I miss the amazing we-feeling we shared at HP – can’t believe it’s been 13 years since I had to leave.

Oh – my prayers were answered yesterday – thank you for your happy thoughts , strength and good luck! It helped!

.. Mathssons. In a couple of weeks I might be able to write  “Tiffany’s” .. or do they just sell jewelry now? Or is it maybe not the jewelry store that the song is about? Anyone who knows?

Fingers crossed today will be a great day. I need as many happy thoughts, strength and good luck as I can get.

Today I got a new cell phone. My old one was ready for the graveyard – had to reboot it several time per day and sometimes it rebooted itself without previous warning. Couldn’t be trusted anymore and I have to be able to rely on it to work.

My lunch date unfortunately cancelled due to being sick. So I got to fill my afternoon with other things. Not too hard to guess what I’ve been doing with a new phone to figure out and install..

This morning I met up with an old friend for coffee before work. It was a really nice way to start the day – doing some catching up and to take my mind off some things for a bit.

A lot of small fires to put out during the day – I think I managed to get them all – lol.

It’s been raining off and on all day. And it is getting so dark so early. Fall is really here. But we still have some fantastic days here and there.

The new week started with sunshine but early afternoon it was raining like crazy. Got home right in time to avoid getting soaked. My oldest son, on the other hand.. lol Poor kid.

An extremely busy week with a lot going on. But it’s just to role up my sleeves and get going. One thing at a time. The reward comes on Monday…

What a great Sunday! The sun has been shining all day and it almost feels like summer outside. So we decided to do something special.

A new train bridge was opened today for public to walk on before they lay the railway tracks. There were almost 12.000 people who showed up and the company who has built the bridge had all sorts of activities to treat the crowds – free hotdogs and sodas, quiz promenade, lots of information about the construction etc. The walk was 2×1,5 km long and took us about an hour strolling with all the people. Quite a spectacular view too overlooking the area 12 m up.

When we got back home we enjoyed lunch outside and then we took a walk to a fall-market near and enjoyed a coffee and cake together with my sis and her hubby. It was really nice to spend some time with them – just the four of us.

Today my parents came back from paradise and delivered a couple of pumpkins. Great to see them again – hopefully we’ll have time soon to catch up some more!
