A day in the slopes

Todaywpid-IMG_20140210_163615.jpg my husband took our youngest to Flottsbro for the first time this winter and they both came back home with a big smile on their face. They had a great couple of hours together – one on his snowboard and the other one skiing. Great!

The winter slowed down a bit – it is around 0C/32F today and a grey sky. It’s supposed to stay this way for the next week or so. Strange winter we have.

Friday!

A very busy week with a lot on – then Friday came and gave us aimage chance to see the family. I picked up some groceries on my way home from work. The subway was late due to someone needing medical assistance and as a result to that they have to try to speed up the traffic again and therefor didn’t let all the trains travel the whole distance. So, I only managed to get half way home and then I had to get off and wait for a new train. When doing this the trains get overly crowded and Fridays are extra bad since everyone want to get home in time and a lot of people carry extra bags with Friday goodies. Oh well. I got home eventually, cooked dinner and then my parents came over and we spent a great evening together watching handball on tv after supper.

International hug-day

Theme-days are becoming quite popular – this one was new to me ahug-day-4279nd I didn’t know about it before I was on my way to work this morning and was given a hug-card and a chocolate bar letting me know it was the international hug-day today.

So – happy hug-day all my friends and family.

Angels fly

Another really cold day today. “It’s too cold outside – for angels to fly” as the lyriänglar 2cs in Ed Sheerans’ “The A Team” song says. A great song by the way.

I have had a great afternoon seeing my mother whom I haven’t seen in a while. Just chatting over a coffee catching up. Time to breathe a bit. Lovely.

Important handball game tonight – last game in the group play. Fingers crossed it will go our way and that we qualify for the next round.

Healthy lunch

Long Tuesday at work and a healthy lunch. We sometimes order food from wpid-wp-1449596507648.jpgRydbergs and they have these health plates with raw spiced salmon (gravlax), cottage cheese, pine nuts, avocado and lettuce etc. Quite tasty! I’m not sure if it is only part of their take-away menu or if you can order it there too though.

We stayed at work quite late and stopped for a burger on the way home. And of course I missed my bus in Fruängen by, hm, 2 minutes. I refused to wait for half an hour since it was -10C so I decided to treat myself a cab home. I know, a huge luxury but I am sure I would have gotten the flue if I would have waited for the bus and God knows what would have happened if I would have walked back at this hour. Oh well. It was nice to get home safely, quickly and without freezing my butt off first.

Pyssel hos A – 18 Jan 2016

Sunny Sunday

imageNot quite as cold today as it has been the last couple of days. Went to the store across the street and that was far enough for me for today I think. Brrr. -8C but quite humid so it goes through everything. I’m happy in my corner watching Vinterstudion before we are leaving to go to my parents-in-law for dinner. I have done a couple of chores too – vacuuming, cleaning and fixing lunch. But other than that .. nope ..

Way to go, girls!

Our junior girls have been playing in the world championships too in ice-hockey. They girls teams are 8 in the top level12548908_971907159546730_1341583022780166992_n – group A with USA, Canada, Russia and Czechia. Group B with Sweden, Finland, France and Switzerland.

The first two in Group A went straight to the semi while the last two in Group A played the quarter towards the first two in Group B. Sweden won their group, won the quarter but lost the semi. Then they managed to win the bronze-game and came in third! Yeah!

Saturday and -14C outside. Clear blue sky and sunshine. Lovely. Might be a bit too chilly for a long walk, but maybe a short one.

Today it was really really cold so extra everything clothes wise was mandatwp-1451376969174.jpgory. It was not a very busy day today so it was perfect for me to get to know my new computer in my own time. Get prepared so I can answer questions when the rest of my colleagues get their new computers.

A whole weekend ahead with only a couple of things planned. It is going to be cold all weekend so we’ll see how much we can be outdoors. Have a great Friday!

Lunch date

A great day. Lunch date with my BFF at our regular plawpid-wp-1421337400725.jpegce. (This photo is from a previous lunch date – no pepperonis today unfortunately.) Kebab or ham to chose from. Or one of each..  I am so happy me and my friend are able to see each other over lunch every now and then. We try to get our schedules together once per month – sometimes more – sometimes less – depending on our other commitments.

I got a new computer at work today – have very mixed feelings about tomorrow when I am thrown into this new environment and still am expected to do my work as quickly as they are used to. Fingers crossed I will make it.
