When I arrived in town this morning they had started decorating some of the streets due to the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest in a couple of weeks.

Since we won last year with “Heroes” / Måns Zelmerlöw we are hosting the grand finale this year. Stockholm is getting ready to greet all the contestants and tourists arriving for the event. Let the fun begin!

What a day – still freezing cold in the mornings but then it gets quite nice after a couple of hours. Managed to close something today that has taken up a lot of my time lately – great to put one thing behind me.

So many things on my mind – need to focus and make a plan so I don’t forget anything. Write lists so I can tic of things as they get completed. A way to keep track and also see the progress – a good carrot to keep me going.

April weather for sure. Snow – sunshine – rain – sunshine – hail. Degrees between -2C — +10C. Almost impossible to know what to wear.

Talking about what to wear – had to buy myself a new pair of jeans today. They sure don’t make them the same quality as they used to. The old pair didn’t even last half a year.

Saw this little description of an “auntie” this morning – I hope I am able to live up to it. I love my nieces to bits ( ??? ) .

Now we now what was in the clouds yesterday. Hail and snow. Fortunately we don’t have to go anywhere today. I just went to the store across the street to buy some milk and the sky decided to come down on me. Yeah yeah – I won’t leave the house again, promise.

My kids are studying for a bit today so I have made scones for afternoon tea as a treat. Freshly made scones with a nice spread of some sort – yum! Orange marmalade, ham or cheese.

My parents are leaving the country today for a trip to Iceland. I wish them the best time – Iceland is an amazing country to visit. Very different in many ways. Great scenery, great food.

We went to the mall to have a Saturday lunch together and the boys helped me make the final decision about my new glasses and sunglasses. Boy, new glasses are expensive. Have to dig deep into the wallet this time.

Not the greatest weather to go out walking in. A perfect afternoon to curl up in my corner and catch up on some recordings or some episodes of series that I don’t really follow but still like to watch from time to time.

Friday again and we were invited over to my parents for dinner! It is such a nice way to finish the week – to be able to sit down at a table and served great food cooked with a lot of love and care. My mom had made us a real treat dinner!

Their garden was absolutely covered with blue flowers. So pretty. It is still freezing cold in the mornings – but it warms up during the days. Spring seems to be getting here quite slowly since it is so cold still.

What a day. I am exhausted. First work. Then home. Quick lunch. Then hospital. Then home. Then pick up my mother to help me making a better choice of new glasses than I managed on my own (I have four new ones with me home to try). We enjoyed a nice coffee and a great chat. Back home. Fix dinner. Buy groceries. Unpack. Managed to accompany my husband to the gym (!!!!) and realized that might not be my thing for fun. Oh well. I gave it a go and now I know. Might try it again another day when I am not so tired to begin with.

I just love Kungsträdgården at this time of year. All the cherry trees in bloom with all the pretty pink flowers. I walked over there after work to have a look since I might not have the time the next couple of days. And all this beauty is gone before you know it. It only lasts for a week or two.

Just received some great news – our prince and his wife came down with a baby boy today. Yeah. Our royal family has grown a lot the last couple of years with five little ones.

Derby tonight between Hammarby and Djurgården. Fingers crossed – Djurgården has had a great start this season with no losses yet. Let’s hope we will managed to break that flow.

PS! We won.. 3-1 !!!

Finally some me-time – just what I needed. I have to get better at taking care of myself. Start doing the exercises given to me to start with. No excuses. Rewarded myself with a coffee and a carrot muffin on my way home. Mmm. I will do the exercises too, I promise. In fact – I have already started.
