AW

A good last day of a not great week. Still pretty cold and a bit grey and rainy/snowy, but who cares – it’s Friday! I texted my oldest niece and asked her out for a coffee after work and she had time for her aunt! Great to see her for a bit – just the two of us!

Then it was time for her to go home and time for me to see my old colleagues at an AW in the hotel bar of Malmen. One driving spirit arranges these twice per year and they are always very well attended with a couple of hundred people there. A glass of wine among old friends and then it was time to head back home again. I joined a friend as she was going home so we didn’t have to travel late by ourselves – great company and a bit safer too.

Now it’s time to cheer on our ladies playing their first game in the hockey world cup. Facing Germany tonight.

Light in the end of the tunnel?

More snow. And then some more snow. Will there ever be spring? Down in the subway-tunnels there is no difference due to the time of year. They look pretty spooky but fascinating at the same time. At this station you can see pretty far into the tunnel – you can’t do that on many stations.

So – is there a light in the end of the tunnel? Is spring waiting for us on the other side? I’d like to think so. Would be nice.

Flower

Didn’t sleep so good last night. And then it was snowing again this morning. Needed a cheering up – this latte with a little spring flower (that’s how I interpreted the effort) decorating it did the trick.

A very hectic morning and some overtime later I arrived at home. Crashed for a bit before it’s time to start dinner. And it’s still snowing.

Subway trouble

Long day at work. And then the subway stood still between 4.30-6PM. Which made the way home terrible, to say the least. Chaos everywhere. When I got to the subway it had just started running again – but overly crowded and I also had to switch train along the way.  My oldest and hubby left school / work an hour before me and we got home about the same time. Need I say we had take-away pizza for dinner..

Pyssel hos E – 27 Mar 2017

Daylight saving time

Time to move the clocks forward. A bit confusing the first couple of hours when half of the clocks in the house have changed automatically while the other half have to be changed manually.

I prefer the daylight saving time opposed to the wintertime. Now we have to get up an hour earlier (which really isn’t a big problem for me) but we also get to go home an hour earlier – have lunch / dinner an hour earlier – and go to bed an hour earlier. Yeah!

A very grey morning – let’s hope the sun will return as the day goes by.

Våffeldagen

A lovely day. My husband went into town early to participate in the tunnel run so while he was gone I did a minor spring clean of the house. Took care of some flowers that needed my attention, changed some curtains and washed a lot of laundry.

In the afternoon we enjoyed some waffles outdoor – first time this year – lovely! It is a theme-day today – national waffle day. Served with cloudberry jam and raspberry jam along with some whipped cream. Yum.

Sunny day

What a gorgeous day. Sunny and lovely. And they have promised this great weather all weekend – just wish it would be a bit warmer so one could sit outside for a bit. But, it is getting there. Time to turn back our clocks on Sunday and after that spring can arrive any time.

But, first it’s time for some Fredagsmys – with a lovely glass of chardonnay from my favorite vineyard – Beringer – accompanied with a piece of cheese. Then I’m going to cheer on Anja competing in “Let’s Dance” . Have a great Friday everyone!

Daffodils

Since the flowers are no where to be seen in the garden I bought a bouquet of spring instead. They all started to bloom today and brighten up the living room. Perfect!

I was treated to a business lunch today. That doesn’t happen every day. So nice to have that opportunity every once in a while. I’ve been curious about this restaurant a while – I book it a lot for my colleagues. And now I know what it’s like!

Fika

A very good mid-week day. With sunny weather, afternoon having coffee with a friend, spending time with my boys, made a nice home cooked dinner. Life is not so bad.

Been a busy bee for a while making all sorts of arrangements for my kids. All done. Yeah.

Now I’m ready for some evening coffee and time on my computer.
