Church

Woke up early and decided to make use of the morning. After breakfast I baked a set of saffron buns and a braided long bun. They turned out great.

My sis w/ family picked me up around lunchtime and we all went to the yearly fair in church that my mom and her friends put together every year. A nice tradition that is older than me. Afterwards I took a nice walk back home. A nice productive Saturday and one more day of the weekend to enjoy. Perfect.

Weekend

Friday already. I got so much done today for some reason. Managed to tick off a lot of boxes on my todo-list and decided to stay on for a bit to finish a whole bunch of invoices as I didn’t get disturbed. Yeah. Felt great to start the weekend with all that completed.

Kungsgatan was all lit up as I left the office so I took this photo of the bridges I was writing about yesterday. Strolled thru the city to the subway to get some steps and fresh air (oh well – city air).

Picked up pizza for dinner and now we’ve crashed in our corners. My oldest didn’t feel so good today after his third shot yesterday. Hopefully he’ll be fine tomorrow.

Xmas tree

This week they put up the Xmas tree on Stureplan. They haven’t decorated the building behind it quite as much as they normally do – maybe they haven’t finished yet. I love the decorations on Kungsgatan with the light-nets on the bridges. So pretty!

Made a wok for dinner tonight. Perfect way to use up some left-overs from the fridge. Three kinds of meat and some noodles mixed with a homemade marinade of canola oil, soya sauce and oyster sauce in equal parts. Now the spa awaits.. Lovely.

Time machine

The Swedish singer- songwriter Miss Li just released a new album in Swedish which is great. But today I noticed that she has also released the very same album in English. One of my favorite songs on the album is called Time machine. Wouldn’t that be great – to be able to go back in time and visit someone from before? To be able to spend one more day with a loved one that is no longer around – like my grandparents for instance. Oh how wonderfully precious that would be. Her song is about an old boyfriend though.

I found new curtains and they look great. They are a bit too long though.. (hint hint) and we’ll see how dark they get tonight or if they let too much light in from the sides or not. Love the fabric, pattern and colors though.

My hubby has been home today and took our youngest to the hospital for his third covid19-shot. Tomorrow it is our oldest turn for a third shot. I hope it will be available for me and my hubby soon too.

100%

This morning I was 100% rested and energized according to my tracker. Ready for a full day. First night in a while that I didn’t toss and turn or dream a lot of work-stuff. Fingers crossed tonight will be the same.

A very busy long day but I got a lot done. Late dinner tonight and now some sofa time and a couple of more episodes of our new miniseries in Netflix – “La Mante”.

Early bird

This morning I had an appointment before work so I had to leave quite early. Took the commuter train into town. Not many people on the station but quite a lot onboard.

I didn’t sleep so good last night so I was glad to get off work early. I hate when I can’t sleep and just keep dwelling on stuff instead of getting a good nights rest. What good does that do? Hopefully I will get a better rest tonight.

Made pasta bolognese for dinner tonight. And my mother-in-law treated us a box full of home made cookies yesterday so we have something delicious to enjoy with our tea tonight. Thank you!

Fathers’ Day

Flag up for all dads today. Yesterday we celebrated my dad and today we will celebrate my hubbys’ dad.

And my boys will greet their father. He is an amazing dad to them – and I feel so blessed that my sons have him as a father. A rock to rely on.

A great weekend with a lot of family- and friends-time and a chance of getting plenty of new energy. Thank you for that.  I even slept in for a bit this morning (managed to go back to sleep again after waking up early). Yeah!

An extra thought to my American dad – but his fathers’ day took place earlier this year. Big hug to you too! How lucky he is to have two Fathers’ days every year?!

To all amazing dads out there. Happy Fathers’ Day.

Busy

A very busy Saturday. We have gotten a lot done today and our house is slowly but surely getting back to some sort of normal again. After breakfast we went to IKEA to return a few things and then we went grocery shopping. I bought an amaryllis bulb – a white one with red edges this time. Hopefully it will be in bloom by the time Xmas is here.

This afternoon we have been sorting, cleaning, doing laundry, changed curtains etc etc. Our living room is now a living room again – not a storage room. Yeah. One turn to the waste disposal site – more turns tomorrow or some other day.

Tonight my parents came over for a coffee and a chat. Loved it. A perfect ending of a long productive day.

Pyssel-middag

Lost the game

Tonight Sweden played soccer towards Georgia – an easy win they said but we ended up loosing 2-0. Now our chances on advancement in the qualifying round got reduced quite a lot. Bummer.

What a week. One more day to go and tomorrow night I’m meeting my best friends for dinner. Something to look forward to. Lovely.
