Shrimps

Friday again. This week went by so quickly. With all kinds of weather.

I decided to make us a treat for dinner to start the weekend. I made a steak dinner for my boys and treated myself two lovely shrimp sandwiches (which they won’t eat). With mayo, sallad, boiled egg and lovely shrimps. Served with a glass of white. Oh – it was delicious. They don’t know what they’re missing. Lol.

We are thinking about re-decorating our bedroom over the holidays since we both have taken a couple of weeks off and we are not allowed to travel anywhere. So now we have a lot of choices to make and things to consider. Fun but tricky.

Unhealthy..

A terrible day calorie wise.. My husband had a full day of online education so he was treated lunch. He chose to pick up McD burgers – for all of us of course. Then we were really tired after a long day so we decided to continue our unhealthy eating with a pizza dinner. Lol.

In the afternoon it started to rain and after a little while it changed to snow instead. Brrr. Really windy too so the snow went sideways outside our window. Not ready for this quite yet.

Homebaked

This covid-19 pandemic is really trying everyone’s patience. New strict rules encouraging people to only spend time with the people in their own household and only visit grocery stores, doctors and pharmacies. No other contact with family or friends. Not going to restaurants, gyms or bars or visit malls or other stores. *puh*  Work from home if possible and don’t use public transportation. Keep a social distance.

Needed to cheer ourselves up a bit so I baked some cinnamon buns for us to enjoy. They turned out great and are still warm. Feeling slightly better again now.

Amaryllis

I have always had one or more amaryllis in my windows in bloom in time for Xmas. The last couple of years they have started to bloom after new year so this year I decided to get one a bit earlier. And guess what – it is already in bloom. Bummer. It is very pretty though and already has a second scape with buds on the way.

Long day today and quite productive. Time to get something to eat on the table. Not sure yet what it’ll be.

New season

Finally the 4th season of The Crown has started and after worked I enjoyed a couple of episodes. And I loved it – well worth waiting for. For those of you who hasn’t watched it yet – you have a lot to look forward to!

Grey and rainy day – not very inspiring for a walk. I went out for a bit after work but I went back home again – not very enjoyable weather. Back to the comfort of my corner with a cup of coffee and a mandarin.

Candles

Lazy Sunday. I’ve been tired today – no energy. Done some laundry and cleaned some. That’s about it. My husband put on the winter tires on our car so now the snow can come any time.

It is getting really dark outside and I love to light some candles in the evenings. So peaceful and pretty. Watching a couple of episodes of “Yellowstone” tonight. It’s pretty good! Love Kevin Costner.

Day off

Busy Saturday. After breakfast we went to deliver the plates we sold to Cervera Vintage. Hopefully someone else will be able to enjoy them! Picked up some groceries on the way back.

My parents-in-law came over to try our new couches and have a cup a coffee. Nice to see them for a bit. And they liked our choice of furniture too!

Made buffalo wings and chicken drumsticks in the air fryer for dinner. I love how crispy they get with some panko on. And super moist too!

Now we might cheer on our team playing soccer tonight. My program (Så mycket bättre) is cancelled due to the game. Oh well. An important game apparently – facing Croatia. We need to win to remain in the top-ranked group.

Treat

It’s been raining all day and I’m glad I didn’t have to be outside today.

Friday and time for a nice family dinner to wrap up the week. I made beef roulades with blue cheese sauce served with fries and it turned out great. Minute steak for the boys. And then a lovely chocolate pudding with whipped cream and sprinkles for dessert. Mmm.

Let the weekend begin!

Long day

Thursday means long day at work. It is getting so very dark outside – I have to turn on the lights in the ceiling during the days now. I have moved my workspace to the other side of the table – change of scenery.

Made a rise and pork casserole for dinner tonight. A family tradition we all enjoy. Now we have crashed in our corners for a bit to watch some TV and relax before it is time to go to bed.

Grey and rainy

Mid week and fall is really here. No snow in sight yet though.

Worked a short day and after work I went to get some groceries – bad planning last time I guess. We try to not go to the stores if we don’t have to. Treated the family some lovely roses to brighten us up a bit.

Tonight we watched a movie with Helen Mirren and Ian McKellen called “The good liar”. Turned out to be a great movie with great actors all round – see it! We found it on Netflix.
