Tucked in my corner while doing laundry and watching this years edition of Vasaloppet. This 90km long cross-country ski race is the oldest and the one with the highest number of participants in the world. It always takes place the first Sunday of March.
This is the 102 time the race is held and about 14,500 people attend this year. There are also a lot of alternative races all week with relays, different distances, non-competing races etc. and in total about 55,000 people participate during the week.
A lot of people have this race as a yearly tradition and during the race they interview people who is participating for the 45+ time. Amazing.
