Monday again

Started the week with pre-work physio – leveled up on my weights today. Making progress which is great.

Three on-line work meetings before lunch so the morning went by quickly. Made stroganoff for lunch and then I took my youngest to pick up some stuff from the hospital for the visit tomorrow.

This afternoon it was raining for a while so I crashed in my corner watching some episodes of “Suits”. Chicken for dinner and then some spa-time (it wasn’t raining at first but now it started again). Hopefully I’ll sleep better tonight.

Lunch in paradise

I’m so glad we postponed our visit until today since yesterday was very rainy. Today the weather gave us a treat with no wind and sunshine. The boys came along – which was great – and we shared a lovely lunch in our second paradise. Possibly for the last time. I’m glad we managed to make is so special.

Packed the boat with furniture and things we would like to keep. We had rented a trailer and everything went well. Thank you so much for letting us have the outdoor set – it looks great by our spa! And the chair will be upstairs – we found a perfect spot.

Tacos

Rainy Saturday. After breakfast we went to get groceries and then we had tacos for lunch. Nachos for me.

Since it’s been a rainy day we decided to not go to our second paradise today – hopefully it will be better weather tomorrow. We are picking up some furniture and stuff that we would like to keep.

So, a long lazy day in my corner watching tv all afternoon. Didn’t have any energy to do anything. Made a very nice steak dinner and now we’re having a cup of tea watching an episode of “Jack Ryan” – the new series we are watching. It’s quite good.

Celebrations

My youngest niece turned 18 today and of course we wanted to celebrate her! But, with this virus circulating we did what we could – went over to give her a rose from our garden and then we had dinner from her favorite thai-food-place together – on a distance via video link.

After dinner we played a few games together via discord and also popped open some bubbly. Happy birthday! A BIG HUG from all of us! Wish you a great day and that we can share that hug soon! Love you!

Roast beef

Long day today. Took my youngest for some more tests. The hospital screwed up so we had to go there twice. Oh well. Done now.

Made roast beef for dinner which turned out pretty good. And my own gravy based on the  juices from the meat. Yum.

No plans really for this evening. Just going to relax and enjoy the TV for a bit. Have a great evening everyone!

Midweek

Midweek and a short day for me. Took my youngest for some blood tests after lunch and then I went to do my physio. Yeah. Still keeping up the routine, which I am very proud of. Today it took a lot of will-power though. Didn’t feel up for it. But, I did it anyway.

We had a nice family dinner tonight – I made pork filet with potato gratin and veggies. Now I’ve done some laundry and then crashed in my corner for some me-time.

Dark clouds

No rain today but it sure looked dark there for a minute. It’s been quite chilly out too – almost felt like fall for a while.

Long day at work and quite busy again. No walk today. Got some disturbing news I need to process.

Made turkey filets with rice for dinner. They didn’t turn quite as good as I would have hoped. Oh well. It’s been one of those days, I guess. New chance tomorrow.

Weekday

New week – new challenges.

Started my week with physio before work. Yeah for me.

Continued with several online meetings and a busy morning.

After work I  crashed in my corner. Slept a bit better last night but still not quite as well as I would have liked to. It’s been grey and cloudy today and not as warm outside as it was last week. Might be good for my sleeping problems. Fingers crossed tonight will be a good one.

Musk beetle

Sunday already. Where does time go? Slept really bad again for the second night in a row. Not good.

After breakfast we went grocery shopping and then we had a grilled chicken for lunch.

We all pitched in and worked some in our garden this afternoon.

My husband ran Midnattsloppet – the app was finally up and running again. He did pretty good and was pleased with completing the 10k.

Yesterday this musk beetle came to visit us in our second paradise. A real beauty and quite large.

Time has come to an end

Today we went out to our second paradise to sign the papers and start to sort out our things. A lot of decisions – what to keep and what to let go.

My parents-in-law and we have decided it is time to thank our paradise for these years and let new owners create their own memories. It feels both sad and good at the same time.

We are very glad and thankful for these years and all the wonderful memories we have to cherish and remember. Especially from when the boys were little.

My parents-in-law had prepared bubbly and snacks to celebrate and close the deal and we had a lovely chat with the new owners. I am sure they will treasure our second paradise and I hope they will be very happy here. We still have another couple of weeks before we hand over the keys so next weekend we will bring some more things back home.
